adding my two cents here since i've been looking into the technical specs of the storage geometry. i think the clearance under the rear bench actually changes depending on if you have the hybrid or ecoboost because of the battery housing... not 100% sure but iirc that impacts the total volume you can fit down there without the seat vibrating. before i can really dig into the data i gotta ask:
