Want to upgrade my Ford Explorer ST. Which sound system would you recommend?

Regarding what #10 said about "Would love to know this too" - honestly guys, I am a bit disappointed with the suggestions so far. Not that those brands are bad, but I have had issues with standard swaps in the newer Explorers because the factory integration is such a nightmare. Those basic units often end up being a total downgrade in terms of signal quality if you do not do it right. The ST deserves better than a simple plug-and-play swap. Before you spend anything, I have a couple questions:
- Are you looking to keep the factory dash look or do you want a whole new screen?
- Do you have the 12-speaker B&O system or the 14-speaker one? The ST audio setup is tricky and just throwing a new head unit at it usually wont give you that clean sound you are probably looking for. Let me know what you are working with and I can help you figure out a real plan...
