I just got my 2024 GV80 Prestige and honestly Im already so frustrated with how delicate everything feels inside. I spent all this money on the top trim with that beautiful light leather and the high end carpets but within two weeks of driving around Seattle it looks like a disaster. The floor mats that came with it are basically useless against the mud and rain we get here and my kids have already managed to scuff the back of the front seats. Its making me regret the light interior color even though it looks amazing when its clean. I tried some cheap universal mats from a big box store but they fit like garbage and honestly ruined the whole vibe of the cabin. I need stuff that actually fits the prestige trim properly and doesnt look like it belongs in a work truck.
Im looking to spend maybe 400 or 500 bucks to just get this sorted before the winter really hits and the interior is permanently stained. What are you guys using that actually fits the GV80 properly without blocking the seat vents or looking tacky?
Building on the earlier suggestion, im really satisfied with the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP Genesis GV80. The HP line uses a softer TPE material that stays pliable in the cold unlike those cheaper hard plastic versions.
I totally get the stress... i went through the same thing with my prestige trim. Spent weeks looking for stuff that didnt make the car look like a contractor truck lol. The TuxMat Genesis GV80 Custom Fit Floor Mats ended up being my favorite purchase and honestly i couldnt be happier with how they look. They have this textured finish that matches the luxury vibe way better than the hard rubbery ones you see everywhere. They basically go all the way up the side walls which is huge for those slushy Seattle days since they keep the salt off the vertical carpet sections. For the seat backs, those Lusso Gear Kids Seat Back Protectors are surprisingly decent. Theyre black and blend in well enough with the dark accents so they dont look tacky or cheap. One quick tip tho... if youre worried about staining that light leather, definitely look into a ceramic coating. Using Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield 50ml right after i got mine was a lifesaver. It doesnt change the feel of the Nappa leather at all but makes liquid bead right off. It saved me when my youngest spilled some juice last month. If you go this route, just make sure to clean the surface with a dedicated leather prep first so it bonds right. It takes a few hours to do the whole cabin but the peace of mind is totally worth it imo. It feels good knowing the interior is actually protected while still looking high end.
Honestly, I went through the exact same panic when I first got my GV80 with the light interior. It looks incredible but keeping it that way in the rain is a full-time job. I wasted money on those generic store mats too and they just slid around and looked cheap. I finally bit the bullet and got a full set of custom-molded liners that actually follow the floor contours perfectly. Tbh, it was the best move I made. They dont look like rubber truck mats at all, they actually have a more refined texture that fits the cabin vibe. For the kids, I found some seat back protectors that blend right in. My current setup has been through a whole messy winter now and Im super satisfied with how it held up. The leather underneath is still pristine and the mats just hose off. Just make sure whatever you get is specifically for the Prestige trim because the fit is tight around the seat bases.
Just saw this. Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad experience with the official Genesis liners... they felt so thin and basically not as good as expected for the price. Are you looking for mats that cover the side walls or just the flat floor area? I ended up getting 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mat Genesis GV80 because they look way more premium. For the seats, WeatherTech Seat Back Protector Black is basically essential.
