Hey everyone! I recently picked up a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, and while I absolutely love the truck, that massive center console is driving me crazy. It’s basically a bottomless pit right now. I feel like every time I drop my keys, wallet, or a pen in there, I have to go on a deep-sea diving expedition just to find them again. It’s reached the point where I’m just piling stuff on top of other stuff, and it’s becoming a total disaster zone.

I’m looking for some solid recommendations on the best center console organizers specifically designed for the Sierra 1500. I’ve seen a few options on Amazon and some of the truck accessory sites, but it’s hard to tell which ones actually fit snugly without rattling around every time I hit a speed bump. I’m really looking for something that offers a good balance of shallow tray storage for things I grab often (like my sunglasses and gate clicker) and maybe some vertical dividers for the deeper section to keep my documents and tools from sliding around.

A few specific things I'm curious about: Does anyone have a preference between the full-length drop-in trays versus the grid-style dividers that sit at the bottom? Also, if you have the wireless charging pad, did the organizer you bought interfere with it at all? I’ve heard some of the cheaper plastic ones can be a bit flimsy or have a weird chemical smell when the truck sits in the sun, so I’d love to hear about brands that actually hold up and feel high-quality to match the interior.

My budget is pretty flexible—I’m willing to spend a bit more for something that actually fits perfectly and doesn't look like a cheap aftermarket addition. What are you guys using to keep your cabs from looking like a junk drawer, and is there a specific brand or model you’d swear by?

For your situation, I'd definitely go with the Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer Tray for GMC Sierra 1500 (2022-2024). I've tried the generic ones and they basically rattle like crazy. This one fits the Denali trim perfectly and doesn't mess with the wireless charger at all, which is a HUGE plus. Also, you might want to consider the Vehicle OCD Center Console Divider for GMC Sierra 1500 (2019-2024) for the bottom section to stop things from sliding. Honestly, the tray + divider combo is the way to go cuz it actually keeps stuff organized. Good luck!!

Quick question - before I dive into the specs, do you have the bucket seats with the safe/vault in there or just the standard open bin? It totally changes which setups actually fit properly. Honestly, if you're on a budget, you gotta check out the Muslogy Center Console Organizer for 2022-2024 GMC Sierra 1500. It's a solid value pick that feels way more premium than the price suggests and literally makes that 'pit' usable. Lmk about the safe tho! 👍

I’ve been doing a lot of reading into the material specs lately because I’m worried about off-gassing in the sun, and I’m not totally sold on just going with the big name brands everyone mentioned. Well actually, I found that the JDMCAR Center Console Organizer for 2022-2024 Sierra seems to use a higher-grade heat-resistant ABS compared to some of the others. I mean, I'm new to this, but the data I've seen suggests the cheaper ones can warp at like 140 degrees... which happens fast in a black Denali interior. My tip: check the thickness of the anti-slip mats specifically. If they're too thick, they can actually block the induction for your wireless charger. I’m still trying to verify if the JDMCAR ones are thin enough not to interfere with the charging speed, has anyone tested the watt output through the tray? Basically, the 'fit' is only half the battle—the material density matters way more for the electronics than people think.

So I've been through a few of these setups over the years, and honestly, the technical fit is what makes or breaks it. In my experience, most people just buy the top tray, but you really gotta get the lower grid too if you want to stop that "deep-sea diving" feeling.

I recommend picking up the Vehicle OCD Lower Center Console Organizer Grid for GMC Sierra 1500 (2019-2024). It's basically a series of interlocking plastic dividers that create 6-8 separate compartments at the bottom of the pit. It's way better than those flimsy generic ones because it actually locks together so things don't slide under the dividers when you're cornering. Plus, if you pair it with the EESY Center Console Tray for GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, you get a dual-layer system. The EESY tray is great because it has high-quality rubber liners that don't have that nasty chemical smell.

Quick tip: If you use the wireless charger, make sure you don't overfill the front of the tray or it'll block the signal. gl!

Late to the party here but I had to weigh in... @Reply #4 - good point! I saw your note about the heat and off-gassing, but honestly, you dont always need to drop big money on the premium brands to get that quality. I tried one of the expensive ones and the slots were just too small for my work gloves. I ended up taking a bit of a DIY approach to save cash and get a better fit. I bought the EDBETOS Center Console Organizer for 2022-2024 GMC Sierra 1500 because it was basic and sturdy, then customized it myself. Quick tips for a perfect setup:

  • Get some Duck Brand Select Grip Shelf Liner and cut pieces to fit the bottom of each compartment. It stops everything from sliding way better than the factory rubber mats.
  • Use small velcro strips on the bottom of the tray edges. It completely kills that annoying plastic-on-plastic rattle when you hit bumps. I am super satisfied with how it turned out. It feels just as solid as the high-end stuff but actually fits my gear because I didnt over-index on the rigid dividers.
