What are the best interior accessories to really protect the cabin of a GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate without making it look cheap? I just picked up a 2024 model in Alpine Umber and I am honestly terrified of my two labs ruining the leather or getting mud everywhere.

I am currently torn between getting the full WeatherTech FloorLiner set or just sticking with the official GMC premium all-weather mats. The GMC ones look more factory-spec but I have heard WeatherTech has better coverage for the second row floor area where the dogs usually hang out. Budget is around $400-500 max for everything right now since I just dropped a fortune on the truck itself. Any of you guys have the Alpine Umber interior and found a specific brand that matches the brown tones well? The black mats might look a bit off...

Re: "Congrats on the Denali, that Alpine Umber is..." - honestly black mats look a bit harsh against the brown. Since you want reliable protection, the TuxMat Floor Mats for GMC Yukon 2021-2024 Full Set covers almost every inch of carpet. For the labs, I would look at these:

I agree regarding TuxMat's coverage. For safety and reliability, I'm very satisfied with:

Congrats on the Denali, that Alpine Umber is a killer choice but honestly it is a nightmare to keep clean with pets. Since you have got two labs, you need to be really careful about those leather seats too, not just the floors. I would suggest prioritizing coverage over the factory look if the dogs are gonna be in there daily. I have tested both the factory ones and the aftermarket options in these rigs. Here is my take:

  • GMC Premium All-Weather Floor Liners with GMC Logo
  • These look the best because the branding matches the trucks vibe perfectly. However, the side walls do not go high enough. If your labs have wet paws, mud is definitely gonna seep over the edges onto that nice carpet.
  • WeatherTech FloorLiner HP Laser Measured
  • Coverage is way better than OEM. The HP series is a softer rubber than the old plastic-feeling ones, so they wont slide around as much. They do a much better job catching the hair and dirt in the second row.
  • Husky Liners X-act Contour Series Floor Mats
  • Personally, I would suggest looking at these. They are a bit thicker and have a more premium rubbery feel that matches the Ultimate trim better than the stiff WeatherTechs. Whatever you do, make sure to check if you have the power sliding console. If you do, some of the one-piece second-row mats might get in the way and you will end up having to trim them, which looks cheap. I would stick with black mats tbh. Trying to match that specific Alpine Umber brown with plastic mats usually ends up looking mismatched and kinda tacky.

I had a similar issue with my last truck where I bought cheap universal mats and a spilled coffee nearly ruined the electronics under the seat. In a Denali Ultimate, you really want to protect those seat tracks from dog hair and mud without sacrificing the luxury feel. Tbh, black mats in the Alpine Umber interior look like an afterthought. I switched to a more tailored look and it made a huge difference.

  • 3D MAXpider Kagu Floor Mats Coffee Brown
  • Kurgo Wander Hammock Dog Seat Cover The 3D MAXpider mats are my go-to because they have a specific fiber backing that grips the carpet without damaging it, so they never slide around. That's a huge safety point for me... I've had mats shift under the brake pedal before and it's terrifying. These ones in the coffee color match the brown tones of the Umber leather way better than deep black. For the labs, the Kurgo hammock is solid because it covers the footwell too, preventing them from falling off the seat if you have to stop fast.
