I just took delivery of my Sierra EV Denali, and man, that 16.8-inch infotainment screen is absolutely stunning but it’s a total fingerprint magnet! I’m worried about micro-scratches over time, especially with how much I'll be using the Google built-in interface. I’ve been looking for a high-quality screen protector, but because of the unique vertical shape and size, I’m not sure which brands offer a perfect fit yet. I’d prefer something with an anti-glare finish that doesn’t kill the screen’s clarity or touch responsiveness. Has anyone found a tempered glass or matte protector that actually fits the Sierra EV’s massive display without bubbling at the edges?

Honestly, I'd actually suggest a different approach—skip the expensive tempered glass! I mean, those can be SO pricey and hard to align. I just use a basic 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film Pro Series scrap or a generic cut-to-fit kit. It basically gives the same protection for way less cash, plus it handles the curves better without those annoying bubbles at the edges. Seriously, it's a total lifesaver for the budget! 👍

This^ Also wanted to add some tech specs since I've been down this road with previous trucks. Honestly, matte is the way to go for glare, but i've had issues with cheap films blurring the text.

1. Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector GLAS.tR Slim for Sierra EV - Best for clarity but still kinda reflects light.
2. TheOCDPlug Matte Screen Protector for GMC Sierra 16.8-inch - Highkey the winner for fingerprints. It's basically invisible right?

yo congrats on the new truck!! honestly i get the concern... that screen is like a giant billboard and i was sooo stressed about scratching it too. For your situation, i would suggest being pretty careful about what u pick because those cheap generic films usually peel at the corners since the display is so big.

I actually went with the ScreenProtech GMC Sierra EV Center Infotainment Screen Protector Kit because it's a dry-install film and fits the exact dimensions of that 16.8-inch beast. i chose the satin/matte finish because the glare from the sunroof was driving me crazy. Ngl, it does dim the screen just a tiny bit, but its totally worth it for not seeing every single fingerprint from the kids lol.

One thing tho... be careful with the install. You gotta make sure the cabin is totally dust-free. I actually turned the AC off for 10 mins before applying it so no dust was blowing around. It might be worth checking out the TheOCDPlug GMC Sierra EV Screen Protector as well since they have a tempered glass version if u prefer that over film. Just make sure to use a microfiber cloth and some distilled water for cleaning first. i wouldnt trust those harsh alcohol wipes that come in some kits cuz they might mess with the factory coating over time. basically just take ur time and dont rush it or u will get bubbles for sure... gl!

Just catching up on this thread and i totally get the hesitation because i’ve been scouring the market data for weeks since these screens are basically the same as the ones in the new Silverado EV and tbh i was super worried about the long-term effects of the adhesive on the factory anti-reflective coating... some of those cheap brands use high-tack glues that can actually strip the finish if you ever have to peel them off!! I’m a bit of a stickler for reliability so i looked into Tuffskinz 16.8" Infotainment Screen Protector which is a solid alternative if you want something that's been tested for interior heat cycles plus it doesn't have that weird oily sheen you see on some generic matte films. I also did some digging into LFOTPP 16.8-inch Screen Protector for 2024 Sierra EV because their light transmission specs are actually rated higher than the standard tempered glass stuff you find everywhere else. My main concern with this massive 16.8-inch vertical layout is the heat dissipation so i'd definitely avoid the super thick glass and stick to the high-end thin films so you don't get any ghost touches when the cabin gets hot in the summer!!!!
