Just picked up a 2025 Odyssey and I’m trying to find window shades that actually fit well and don’t sag or pop off. Prefer something that covers the second/third-row windows for naps and sun glare, but still lets me crack the windows a bit. Any good OEM-style or aftermarket options you recommend?

+1 to what was said earlier — avoid the cheap suction-cup mesh ones. Seriously. On the Odyssey’s big glass they sag, pop off in heat, and become random projectiles if you slam a door (ask me how I know lol).

If you want OEM-ish fit + still crack the window:
- WeatherTech: pricey but pretty rigid, less sag
- SnapShades-style magnetic/snap-in kits: best “factory” look
- “sock” sleeves (generic): easiest for airflow, just watch visibility at night

Idk, I’d pay more for the rigid/magnetic ones for naps tbh. gl!

In my experience, you’ve basically got three shade styles. A) rigid OEM-ish snap-in screens: best fit/no sag, but you usually cant crack the window much and they’re pricier. B) suction-cup mesh: cheap, but they pop off and sag on big Odyssey glass (mine did…). C) “sock” sleeves over the door frame: covers more and you *can* crack windows, but watch for rubbing the weatherstrips. I’d pick A for naps, C for airflow. gl!

> do you want the snap-in/OEM-style rigid screens, or the fabric “sock” style that slips over the door frame Like someone mentioned, the options basically split between those rigid inserts or the mesh socks that slide over the door. But man, its honestly ridiculous that we are still having this same debate in 2025! You pay a premium for a top-tier family hauler and you still get these massive windows that turn the second row into a literal greenhouse. It drives me absolutely crazy! I have been driving these vans for a long time and the shade struggle is such a scam... it feels like the manufacturers dont even care about the sun glare. Those tiny gaps at the edge of the windows? Absolute nightmare for a sleeping kid! Its so frustrating that we have to spend extra time and money just to get basic coverage that should have been there from the factory. Glad everyone is chiming in tho because finding anything that actually fits this massive glass is a total headache!

Hey, i feel u… minivan glass is huge, so fitment matters a lot. Quick clarifier before I steer you wrong: do you want the snap-in/OEM-style rigid screens, or the fabric “sock” style that slips over the door frame so you can still crack the window? Also what’s your rough budget for the full 2nd+3rd row set?

In my experience, the rigid OEM-style (think Honda accessory shades-type) tends to look cleaner and won’t sag, but you usually lose the ability to open the window much. The sock-style meshes (like SnapShades-style) seal better around the frame, stay put on bumpy roads, and still let you vent a bit… but they’re a little more “aftermarket” looking. Lemme know which vibe you’re after and if you’ve got kids yanking on em lol
