Our Odyssey’s trunk is currently a disaster zone with sports gear and groceries rolling everywhere! I’m looking for a sturdy organizer that actually fits the deep cargo well behind the third row without sliding around. Does anyone have a favorite brand that handles heavy grocery bags and fits the dimensions perfectly?

For your situation, I'd probably go with the Drive Auto Trunk Organizer for SUV and Car. I'm still kinda new to the Odyssey life, but I was seriously worried about stuff sliding into the deep well. It fits pretty well tho! Honestly, it feels sturdy enough for heavy groceries and doesn't tip over easily... which is nice cuz I'm always cautious about things spilling. It was like $30 or so, totally decent option imo!! gl!

Sooo, for the Odyssey's deep cargo well, you really gotta look at the technical specs of the floor space. The well is basically a giant pit, so standard organizers just slide around. You need something with high-friction rubber feet or a rigid base. I HIGHLY recommend the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer with Adjustable Straps.

What makes this one amazing is the 1680D Oxford polyester—it's super heavy-duty and won't tear when you load it with heavy groceries or sports gear. Plus, it actually has tie-down straps that hook into the Odyssey's floor anchors so it literally cannot move!

Another technical win is the Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Reinforced Base Plates. Those base plates keep the compartments from collapsing under weight. It fits the width of the third-row well perfectly, leaveing just enough room for a stroller on the side. Honestly, the build quality is fantastic for the price. Hope that helps! peace

Respectfully, I'd consider another option because those fancy organizers can get super expensive for basically being a box. tbh, I've tried many over the years and most slide around that deep well anyway. I just use the Honey-Can-Do SFT-01166 Large Trunk Organizer with some cheap bungee cords. It's way cheaper, holds heavy groceries, and fits the Odyssey perfectly without breaking the bank. sometimes simple is better, you know?

Bump - same question here

I totally agree with the idea that simple is usually better for the Odyssey well. Ive spent way too much time over-engineering my cargo space and honestly, the DIY-ish "self-service" options often beat the fancy "pro" organizers you see advertised everywhere. If you want something that actually stays put, here are a few ways I’ve tackled it from a DIY perspective: - **The InstaCrate Hack:** I use three GreenMade InstaCrate Collapsible Storage Bins zip-tied together. Since they’re rigid plastic, they dont collapse or slide around like fabric ones. They fit the width of the deep well PERFECTLY and you can just hose them out if a grocery bag leaks.
- **Ruff-N-Tuff Trunk Organizer:** This is the heavy-duty choice if you want something pre-made. It's got a much more RIGID frame than the cheap stuff, which is what you need when you're tossing in soccer balls or heavy gear. - **DIY Divider Board:** If youre handy, you can actually cut a piece of 1x12 lumber to fit the molded slots in the side of the trunk well. It's the ultimate cheap fix to keep groceries from sliding forward into the main cabin area. Most of those fabric ones just turn into a slumped mess after a month. Go rigid or DIY it if you want something that handles real family life!

I have to vent a bit because honestly most of these top rated organizers are a total letdown for the Odyssey deep well. They look great in the Amazon photos but then you actually put some weight in them or take a sharp turn and everything is a mess again. Ive been through three different brands now and they all just felt flimsy and cheap for the price. Like someone mentioned, that deep well is basically a pit that swallows things. I finally stopped using the soft fabric organizers entirely because they just collapse. I went the DIY route and grabbed two of the Rubbermaid Commercial Products Brute Tote with Lid 14 Gallon. They are super rugged and fit the dimensions of the cargo well almost perfectly side-by-side. If you really want a dedicated organizer though, the Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid Base Interior Organizer is the only one I didnt hate. It has a much stiffer bottom than the others and the dividers actually stay in place. Its more expensive but it actually works... unlike the bargain bin stuff that just ends up as extra clutter in the garage.
