Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger and traded in my old sedan for a 2024 Honda Passport TrailSport in that beautiful Diffused Sky Blue. I am absolutely loving the ride so far. The V6 feels great and that extra ground clearance is already giving me a lot more confidence for my weekend trailhead runs and camping trips.

However, now that I have it sitting in my driveway, I am starting to realize that the interior feels a little too nice and I am honestly terrified of ruining it. I have got a high-energy Australian Shepherd who goes everywhere with me, and between the mud from his paws and the various hiking gear I am constantly tossing in the back, I know the factory carpet and upholstery are not going to last a month. I really want to preserve those cool orange TrailSport accents while making the cabin more functional for actual rugged use.

I have been looking at a few things already, but I am feeling pretty overwhelmed by the sheer number of options online. I want to make sure I buy stuff that actually fits well and doesn't look cheap. Specifically, I am looking for:

  • High-quality all-weather floor liners that actually fit the contours of the 2024 model perfectly and don't slide around.
  • Some kind of solution for the center console wireless charging pad, because my phone seems to slide right off every time I take a sharp turn.
  • Durable seat covers for the back row that won't interfere with the folding mechanism or the side airbags but can withstand dog claws.
  • A solid cargo organizer or tray for the trunk that keeps my recovery gear and tools from sliding around during light off-roading.

I have seen some generic stuff on Amazon, but I would much rather hear from people who actually live with a Passport every day. Do you guys find the OEM Honda accessories are worth the premium price, or are there better aftermarket brands like WeatherTech or TuxMat that you would recommend instead? I want to get this right the first time so I can stop worrying about the mess and just enjoy the drive. What are your absolute must-have interior accessories for the TrailSport trim?

Been thinking about your setup for a few hours now, and honestly, I had the same struggle with my gear sliding everywhere. When I first started out, I just used random plastic bins, but they make so much noise on the trails and dont stay put. For the back, definitely check out the Canvasback Cargo Liner Honda Passport. It actually sticks to the back of the rear seats with velcro, so when you fold them down for the dog, the entire surface is protected from claws and fur. Underneath that, I use the Husky Liners Weatherbeater Cargo Liner Honda Passport because it has a high lip for containing mud and spills. To keep my recovery gear and tools from moving, the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable Straps is great because it clips directly into the factory D-rings in the trunk. It keeps everything silent and secure even when you are taking sharp turns or hitting bumpy fire roads.

Saw this thread this morning and had to chime in because igivgdgxzn is totally right about the safety risk. I once had a heavy recovery hitch fly forward during a sudden stop and it nearly smashed my infotainment screen... super scary stuff. You really might want to consider how you secure that gear so it doesnt happen to you. For the floors, I would suggest looking at TuxMat Honda Passport 2019-2024 Full Set over the others mentioned. They cover almost every inch of the carpet, which is great because dog hair gets into every tiny crevice. They clip into the trim too, so they are incredibly stable and wont slide under your pedals. Honestly, the extra coverage is worth every penny for the peace of mind. To keep your gear from becoming a hazard, make sure to grab the Honda OEM Cargo Net 08L96-TGS-100. It is way more durable than the generic ones and stays tight even when you are bouncing around on trails. I also highly recommend the Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer Honda Passport for the middle. It keeps everything snug so you dont have things rattling or flying around when you take those sharp turns you mentioned. Better to be safe and get the stuff that fits perfectly the first time around so you dont have to worry.

Congrats on the new TrailSport! That blue color is honestly sick. I totally get the fear of ruining the interior though. Ngl, the Honda OEM accessories are way overpriced for what you get. I usually stick to high-quality aftermarket stuff to save some cash for gas and gear. For the floors, I highly recommend Lasfit All-Weather Floor Mats for 2019-2024 Honda Passport. They have a perfect fit and are much cheaper than the big name brands. To stop your phone from sliding, look for a Motofans Wireless Charging Pad Silicone Mat for Honda Passport. It is a super cheap silicone insert that solves the problem instantly. Since you have an Aussie, definitely grab the Vailge Dog Car Seat Cover for Back Seat. Its basically bulletproof against claws and mud, and it costs a fraction of what a custom-fit cover would. It fits the back row of the Passport really well without sliding around.

Agree with the sliding issue, its a major safety hazard. My uncle once had a loose jack smash his rear window during a stop. Cost a fortune and was a huge ordeal.
