I just picked up my new IONIQ 5 last week and I’m absolutely loving the minimalist cabin, but I want to keep it looking pristine! I’m specifically looking for high-quality all-weather floor mats that actually fit the sliding center console properly. Also, that open space under the dash is a bit of a 'black hole' for my stuff—does anyone have a recommendation for a good organizer tray or storage bin that fits that area? I’m also debating whether a matte screen protector for the dual displays is worth it to cut down on fingerprints. What are the absolute must-have interior accessories you’ve found to help keep things organized and protected?

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year when I first got my I5, and honestly, it's been a bit of a journey trying to find stuff that doesn't feel cheap or ruin the vibe. I'm a bit of a stickler for market value vs. quality, and unfortunately, I've had some annoying issues with the "budget" stuff that's flooded the market recently.
I actually did a deep dive into the mat situation because I couldn't stand the gap some brands leave. Basically, it comes down to TuxMat Ioniq 5 All-Weather Floor Mats vs. Lloyd Mats Northridge Custom Fit Floor Mats.
With TuxMat, the coverage is LITERALLY insane—they go all the way up the sides, which is great for salt, but they're kinda bulky. On the other hand, the Lloyd Mats are lower profile and look more "factory," but they don't trap quite as much gunk. I ended up with the TuxMats because the protection is top-tier, even though they're a pain to install.
For the "black hole" under the dash, I tried a few generic bins but they slid everywhere. I finally settled on the BestEvMod Ioniq 5 Lower Center Console Organizer Tray and it's... okay. It fits, but the silicone material is a total dust magnet. If you're OCD like me, that might drive you crazy lol. Still better than losing your keys in the abyss i guess!! tbh it's all about trade-offs with these accessories. good luck with yours! 👍
Ok so, before I give advice on the gear, I gotta ask: do you have the AWD or RWD version? The floor layout and safety sensor clearance can actually vary slightly between the two, and I wanna make sure any bin I recommend won't slide around and interfere with your pedals! ngl safety is huge for me.
Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year when I first got my I5 and honestly, I found that you can keep that minimalist look without blowing your budget on the pricey boutique brands. For the mats, I actually took a gamble on a set of KAGU MAXpider All-Weather Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 with Sliding Console because I'd heard the technical fit around the tracks was way more precise than the OEM ones, and they've been solid for 12 months now.
Regarding that "black hole" under the dash, I tried a few things but ended up sticking with:
* A simple Seven Sparta Center Console Organizer Tray for IONIQ 5 which was like $15-20 iirc
* A set of Carwiner Silicone Non-Slip Mats for IONIQ 5 Interior Storage to stop my keys from rattling around in the door pockets
I skipped the screen protector tbh... I was worried about the adhesive messing with the matte finish of the dash over time, and a microfiber cloth does the trick just fine for cheap! Basically, you don't gotta spend $500 to protect the interior if you shop around for the technical alternatives. gl with the new ride!! 👍
Ive been tinkering with my I5 since launch. For the black hole under the dash, honestly, just get a cheap felt storage bin and stick some velcro on the bottom. It grips the floor carpet perfectly and stays put during turns. It looks way more integrated than the plastic bins you buy online. For the mats, I definitely recommend TuxMat Hyundai IONIQ 5 Floor Mats with Sliding Console. They have way more vertical coverage than the standard rubber ones, so your side carpets actually stay clean too. If you're worried about the screens, NuShield DayStar Anti-Reflective Screen Protector for IONIQ 5 is great. It cuts the glare without making the screen look grainy like some of the matte films do.
yo, congrats on the new ride! honestly I was in the exact same boat last month and wanted to keep mine looking fresh without spending a fortune. for the mats, you seriously gotta check out BestEvMod for Ioniq 5 Floor Mats All Weather Floor Liners for Sliding Console. they're usually around $120-140 and they actually fit the sliding console gap perfectly unlike some of the super expensive brands. basically a steal!!
for that 'black hole' under the dash, i grabbed the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector for Hyundai Ioniq 5 which was like $30-40. highkey worth it cuz it kills the glare and hides fingerprints so well. plus i found a cheap Muslogy for Ioniq 5 Under Screen Storage Tray Organizer for about $20 that fits right in that open spot. it's so helpful for holding your phone or sunglasses and makes the cabin feel way more organized. i'm super happy with how these turned out... no complaints at all!! good luck with the new car 👍
