Hey everyone! I finally took delivery of my IONIQ 5 last week after months of waiting, and I am absolutely head over heels for this car. The 'living room' vibe of the cabin is what really sold me, but now that I’m actually living with it day-to-day, I’m realizing it might be a bit *too* minimalist in some areas. I want to keep that clean, futuristic aesthetic, but I definitely need to make the space a bit more functional.

Specifically, I’m struggling with the 'Universal Island' center console. While the sliding feature is cool, that giant open space at the bottom has already become a 'black hole' for my sunglasses, loose change, and charging cables. It’s a mess! I’ve seen some drawer inserts or dividers online, but I’m worried about them rattling or looking like cheap plastic that ruins the premium feel of the interior.

Another thing I’m looking for is protection. I went with the light grey interior because it looked stunning in the showroom, but now I’m terrified of every coffee cup and my dog’s muddy paws. Are there specific seat covers or high-quality floor mats that you guys recommend? I’m looking for something that fits the unique floor layout—especially with the flat floor in the back—without looking like generic rubber mats from a hardware store.

Also, I’m curious about that magnetic pad to the left of the driver’s screen. It feels like such a wasted opportunity right now! Has anyone found a cool phone mount or a specific accessory that actually makes use of that space? I’ve spent way too much time scrolling through Etsy and Amazon, but it’s hard to tell what’s actually worth the money.

For those of you who have had your I5 for a while, what are the absolute 'must-have' interior accessories you’ve found that actually fit the car’s vibe and improve the daily driving experience? I'm willing to spend a bit more for high-quality items that look OEM.

> that giant open space at the bottom has already become a 'black hole' sooo I tried some cheap plastic dividers last month but unfortunately they were garbage and rattled constantly... not as good as expected at all. I finally grabbed the BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Ioniq 5 and its way better. Also, TuxMat Custom Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 are a must-have for that light interior. Basically, dont cheap out or ur gonna hate it! Lesson learned: quality matters for the I5.

Before I give advice, I gotta ask—how are you actually planning to use that magnetic pad? Are you looking for a phone mount that lets you see the screen for GPS, or just somewhere to stick a notepad? And with the dog, are we talking like a tiny poodle or a massive golden retriever? That really changes which protection I'd suggest... Anyway, for that magnetic area, its definitely a weird space. I've looked into two main options: LISEN for MagSafe Magnetic Phone Mount vs. something more universal like the Spigen OneTap Magnetic Dash Mount for MagSafe. The Lisen one is super sleek but sometimes the magnets feel a bit weak on bumpy roads, whereas the Spigen is built like a tank but looks a bit chunkier. Honestly, the I5's dash is so unique that some of these "universal" ones just dont sit right. For the floor, I know the first reply mentioned custom mats, but honestly, the brand really matters for that 'premium' look ur after. You basically got two paths. There's the heavy-duty TPE like the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit which is bulletproof but can look a bit "industrial," or the TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 which actually cover way more of the carpet and have a much more premium, leather-like texture that fits the living room vibe better. Just be careful with cheaper TPE brands cuz they tend to off-gas that nasty plastic smell for weeks and might even warp in the sun... definitely something to watch out for! So yeah, let me know about the dog situation. gl!
