I just picked up my new Santa Cruz and want to keep the bed pristine. I'm hauling everything from muddy hiking gear to groceries. Does anyone have a liner that doesn't block the under-bed trunk access? I'm looking for a perfect fit that stays in place. Which brand offers the best durability for the price?

So basically the consensus is that the OEM mat is king, but honestly, I've spent years hunting for bargains and found a killer budget alternative!

1. The Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats and Cargo Liner Set for 2022-2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz is AMAZING for the price—usually around $130 for the whole set!
2. It's super DURABLE and doesn't block that trunk access.

TL;DR: If the OEM is too pricey, go Smartliner. Seriously, you'll love it! Good luck!

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, before you buy, it's vital to understand that a moving cargo liner is a huge safety hazard—it can slide and jam the tailgate or block the trunk latch. If you're on a budget, I'm a huge fan of the Rough Country Rubber Bed Mat for 2022-2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz. It’s usually under $100, super grippy to prevent gear from sliding, and thick enough to protect the bed from dents. It really offers the best durability for the price! Good luck!

TL;DR: Are you looking for a simple drop-in or would you consider a DIY custom-cut job for a more technical fit, because I'm not 100% sure if the pre-made ones really maximize the bed surface area, you know? Honestly, I stumbled on this and started wondering about the actual clearance specs for that under-bed trunk latch. Tbh I'm curious what kind of gear you're mostly hauling—like is it heavy sharp stuff or just wet bags? I think I heard somewhere that if the mat is too thick it can actually put weird stress on the hinge mechanism over time but IIRC that was only on some older truck models lol. I've been debating doing a total DIY self-service approach with some heavy-duty bulk rubber and just precision-cutting it to get the EXACT fit around the tie-downs and the trunk seam, but I'm still a bit uncertain if that would compromise the weather sealing. Does anyone have the actual micrometer measurements for the gap tolerance there?

Hi there, congrats on the new truck! For your situation, I would suggest the Hyundai Santa Cruz Bed Mat (Part # K5F33-AC000). Honestly, I've tried third-party options, but the OEM rubber mat is the best value at around $130. It’s heavy-duty enough for muddy gear and is specifically designed with a hinge point so it doesn't block that under-bed trunk. It’s a perfect, non-slip fit for the price! Hope this helps!
