What roof rack system would you guys recommend for a newer Infiniti QX60 Luxe model? I'm trying to get something sorted before our family trip to the Outer Banks next month since we really need a cargo box for all the kids gear.
I looked into the Thule WingBar Evo since everyone says they're the best but they're so expensive and I'm worried about the height. I also saw some cheaper Yakima setups but some reviewers mentioned crazy wind noise on this specific car if the fit isnt perfect which makes me nervous for a 10 hour drive. Are the OEM ones from the dealer actually worth it or should I just suck it up and pay for the high-end aftermarket stuff? I just want something quiet and secure for around $400 or $500 max if possible.

In my experience, skip the pricey Thule setup. I've tried many over the years and the Infiniti QX60 Genuine Roof Rack Cross Bars T99R1-9Z000 are honestly the best fit. They're way quieter than Yakima's stuff since they're custom-designed for the roofline. You'll easily stay under that $500 limit if you buy them online instead of at the service counter. Solid choice for a long trip.

^ This. Also, honestly dont overthink the expensive brands. Im very satisfied with the BrightLines Crossbars for Infiniti QX60. Theyre budget friendly and stay rock solid on long highway drives.

Late to the party but honestly, I'm really happy with the Malone AirFlow2 Aluminum Aero Cross Rail System. It works well and matches the QX60 aero profile nicely without the Thule price tag. Quick question tho, what specific cargo box are you planning to mount? Knowing the mounting footprint is key.
- Verify the 165lb dynamic load rating.
- Check if you need T-slot compatibility for your box. I've had zero complaints with the wind noise so far...

Just found this thread today. Honestly, you should just hop on YouTube and search for QX60 roof rack installs. There are some really solid videos where people actually do decibel tests for the wind noise at highway speeds. It helped me feel way more confident about the safety and fit before I pulled the trigger. Just search QX60 crossbar comparison and its like the first result.
