I just picked up my 2025 QX80 Autograph yesterday and honestly I am terrified of ruining this interior. The leather is that beautiful saddle brown color and the quilting is incredible but I have two boys who play travel soccer and a golden retriever who sheds like its her job. We are leaving for a 12 hour road trip to the mountains in less than a week so I need to get some protection ordered like right now. I spent way too much on this truck to let it get trashed in the first month but I also dont want it to look like a literal work truck inside with ugly plastic everywhere.
Im torn between the TuxMats and the WeatherTech HP series. The TuxMats look way more premium and seem to cover way more of the carpet which is nice because my kids constantly kick the sides of the center console and the door sills. But I heard they can be a total pain to clean if mud gets deep in those ridges. WeatherTech is the classic choice and I know they last forever but they look kinda industrial for an Autograph trim. I also saw the factory Infiniti all-season mats at the dealership when I signed the papers but they didnt seem to cover the hump in the second row very well and felt a bit thin for the price they were asking.
Then there is the cargo area situation. The Autograph has those power folding seats and I dont want a liner that blocks the buttons or the tracks when I need to move the third row up and down. I saw a Canvasback liner mentioned on another site which seems great for the dog hair but I dont know if it looks cheap in person? My budget is around $600 for the whole setup but the timeline is the real killer since I need everything delivered to my house by Friday before we head out.
Does the TuxMat actually fit the new 2025 refresh perfectly or are people just using the old 2024 specs? And between the OEM cargo tray and the Canvasback which one is gonna survive a 70lb dog better without sliding around...
Building on the earlier suggestion, does your Autograph have the captain's chairs with that massive fixed center console? That layout totally changes the floor specs! I remember panicking before a ski trip and found 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Mats were way better for the budget. Their fiber backing is fantastic for gripping carpet without damaging it.
Congrats on the 2025, that saddle brown is killer. Honestly, I think the floor layout for this year is just different enough that the older mats wont fit perfectly... I recall someone on a forum saying the center console footprint shifted a bit for the refresh. Im very satisfied with how those high-walled mats look in a luxury interior tho. They definitely dont have that industrial vibe you get with some others. Regarding the dog, I saw some folks mention the Canvasback Cargo Liner for hair, but I am not 100% sure how it handles the power seat tracks on this specific model. If the material interferes with the folding mechanism, it could be a mess. You should probably call the manufacturer directly to see if they have the 2025 templates ready yet since your trip is so soon.
Quick reply while I have a sec... honestly, I have tried many different protection setups over the years. You really want to be careful with that 2025 refresh though since the floor layout is totally different. In my experience, standard mats dont really cut it for the luxury vibe.
