Which side window deflectors look best on an Infiniti Q50?

Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Q50 and I'm looking to add some side window deflectors to help with airflow, but I don't want to ruin the car’s sleek profile. I’m stuck between going with the OEM Infiniti ones or something like WeatherTech. Since our cars have that distinct chrome trim, I’m curious if the tape-on versions look bulky or if in-channel deflectors are the way to go for a more integrated look. I've also heard some owners have issues with the auto-up window sensors when using the in-channel type. Does anyone have photos of their setup or a specific brand recommendation that offers the cleanest, most low-profile fitment?

Watch out for the in-channel ones! They often trigger the safety sensors, making your windows bounce back. I'd definitely go with WELLvisors Taped-on Window Deflectors with Chrome Trim because they match the factory trim perfectly! 😍

For your situation, I would suggest being really careful with in-channel options. As an expert who's messed with plenty of these setups, I've seen way too many Q50 owners struggle with the anti-pinch sensors on the auto-up windows. It's a huge headache when your window keeps bouncing back down! Honestly, if you're on a budget, I'd skip the pricey Infiniti Q50 OEM Side Window Deflectors which can run over $200, and look at the WellVisors Window Deflectors for Infiniti Q50. They cost about $60-$80 and actually look super sleek because they have a chrome trim option that blends right into the factory look. Make sure to prep the surface with rubbing alcohol first though! Tape-on versions are much safer for your motor longevity, IMO. Just take your time with the alignment... wait, I'm rambling. Point is, go for the low-profile tape-ons to save cash and your window sensors. Hope this helps!

> Honestly, while everyone's worried about sensors, I think the real issue is value. I totally agree with that. Tbh, as someone who is still pretty new to modding, I have been doing a lot of market research to see what actually lasts. I am super cautious about anything that uses adhesive because I do not want to ruin the chrome or have them fly off on the highway. Anyway, I have been looking at a couple of other brands that haven't been brought up yet. From what I have gathered, Autoclover Side Window Vent Visors are a really popular alternative for people who want that flush look. Here is what I found during my research:

  • They usually come in a 6-piece set which covers that tiny rear window for a more complete look.
  • They are much slimmer than the typical bubble-style visors.
  • They are tape-on, so they definitely wont mess with your window sensors. I also saw HIC USA Window Visors mentioned on some other boards for having a really deep tint that looks clean. I am still a bit worried about the long-term reliability of the tape though. Does anyone know if these hold up well in high heat? Basically just trying to find the safest bet for a beginner like me.

Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.

Hmm, I've had a different experience. Honestly, while everyone's worried about sensors, I think the real issue is value. Unfortunately, OEM and WeatherTech are overpriced for what they are. I'd actually suggest a different approach and go with EOS Visors Infiniti Q50 Tape-On Window Deflectors. They're way more budget-friendly and actually sit surprisingly flush against the chrome trim without that bulky look. Not as good as expected for some, maybe, but for the price? It's the best practical move, tbh.
