Honestly im kind of losing it with the storage in my new 2021 I-PACE HSE. I just got it last week here in Bristol and while it drives like a dream the interior layout is just... ugh. Theres nowhere to put anything! My phone is constantly sliding into the abyss under the seats and the trunk is so wide that my shopping bags just explode everywhere whenever I take a turn.
Im getting pretty frustrated because for a car this expensive youd think theyd include some basic nets or bins. I need to fix this ASAP before I lose my mind. What are the absolute must-have practical accessories you guys have bought to make this thing actually usable for daily life? Any specific console inserts or trunk mats that dont look like total junk?
To add to the point above: I dealt with the exact same mess in my 2021. The trunk dimensions are great but the lateral g-forces in an EV make groceries a nightmare. I’ve been super satisfied with the Jaguar Genuine Luggage Compartment Net T4A5507 which hooks into the factory d-rings. It’s got a high tensile weave that keeps everything pinned down even when taking corners a bit quick. For the console abyss, I picked up the Topfit Center Console Organizer Tray for I-PACE. It fits the 2021 interior specs perfectly and gives you a sub-divided tray so your phone isn't just rattling around in a plastic bucket. If you’re worried about spills, the Jaguar I-PACE Rubber Cargo Mat T4A12743 is solid TPE and works well for catching whatever rolls out of your bags. No complaints so far, it basically fixed my sanity.
Saw this earlier but just now responding. Before suggesting more, do you have the fixed or sliding panoramic roof? It affects the interior mounting tolerances. I once had a loose metal item jam my seat rail gear, which threw a fault code on the seat module. Be careful with what you tuck away. Maybe consider these options:
Congrats on the new ride! Bristol is a great place to drive an I-PACE tho I bet those narrow roads make you appreciate the handling. Tbh the lack of storage is basically a rite of passage for us owners. That center console gap is literally a black hole for iPhones and keys... I spent my first month fishing stuff out from under the seats too. To give you the best advice I gotta ask a couple things:
Like someone mentioned, those lateral forces are truly no joke! I actually had a glass bottle shatter in the back after a sharp turn because I thought it was secure. What a nightmare! Now I use a heavy-duty collapsible partition. It keeps everything locked down so nothing slides. Safety first, especially when you're accelerating like a rocket! I absolutely love how my current setup keeps things from becoming projectiles!
