I recently picked up a 2019 Jaguar F-TYPE, and while the stock experience is incredible, I’m looking to sharpen the driving dynamics just a bit. I've been researching VelocityAP tunes for a power bump and some high-quality lowering springs to improve the stance and cornering feel. I'm also curious if larger aluminum paddle shifter extensions actually improve the shifting experience or if they’re just for looks. I want to keep the car daily-driver friendly but want it to feel a bit more connected to the road. For those who have modified theirs, which performance accessories or bolt-ons provided the most noticeable improvement to your driving experience?

In my experience:
- VelocityAP Jaguar F-Type Performance ECU Tuning: Pro-insane power / Con-warranty risk.
- VelocityAP Jaguar F-Type Lowering Springs: Pro-sharp handling / Con-stiff ride.
Shifters are basically just for looks lol.

Seconding the recommendation above. VAP is the gold standard, but for budget-friendly mods that really help: - H&R Trak+ 15mm Wheel Spacers: Gives that flush stance for way less than new wheels.
- Porterfield R4-S High Performance Brake Pads: Better bite and way less dust than stock. Basically, i'm super happy with these as they keep things safe and daily-driver friendly without any warranty drama. Definitely worth it imo! 👍

I've had mine for years and I'm still incredibly happy with the car overall, but the heat management issues just break my heart sometimes. I remember being out on a long canyon run last summer and after a few miles of heavy footwork, the car just started feeling bogged down. It's so discouraging when you know the potential is there but the car is basically just trying to survive the heat soak. I've spent so much time just venting to my buddies about how frustrating it is when the ECU starts pulling power right when things are getting good.

  • Are you planning on doing any track time or is this strictly for the street?
  • How much are you looking to spend on keeping things running cool versus just adding raw power? Its definitely a trade off when you start chasing that extra performance while trying to keep it a reliable daily.

Quick reply while I have a sec! Seconding the recommendation above. Honestly VAP is amazing!! But basically, im all about safety first, so definitely upgrade ur tires before adding more power... • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/30ZR20: Pro-insane grip/shorter braking. Con-pricey.
Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 295/30ZR20: Pro-better in wet/cheaper. Con-less steering feel. Better rubber makes it feel sooo much safer and connected. gl!
