I'm picking up my new EV9 tomorrow morning here in Seattle and I'm honestly panicking. I've never owned an electric car before and I don't know what I need. My budget is tight after the down payment, maybe $500 tops. what are the absolute must-have accessories I need to get right now so I dont mess anything up?

Grab mats immediately.

> Re: Grab mats immediately... honestly you should look at protecting those screens too. Actually, I disagree with prioritizing floor mats over charging infrastructure, especially if the budget is only $500. Aesthetics wont help if you cant charge efficiently at home. Functional hardware should always come before interior trim for a new EV owner. If your EV9 didnt come with a versatile cable, look at the Lectron Level 1 / Level 2 Portable EV Charger 16 Amp J1772. It handles 110V and 240V which is essential for flexibility in Seattle. Technical specs matter more than carpet protection when you're starting out. For actual protection on a budget, get Topfit Kia EV9 Mud Flaps Splash Guards Set of 4. They cost way less than custom liners and actually protect the rocker panels from debris. Much more efficient use of your remaining $500 tbh.

TL;DR: Get a screen protector and a console tray to stay organized and keep the tech clean. Congrats on the pickup! Re: "Grab mats immediately.WeatherTech FloorLiner Laser Measured: tough but..." - that is a solid start, but honestly you should look at protecting those screens too. They are total fingerprint magnets. I suggest the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Kia EV9 because it helps with the glare on gray days and keeps the glass from getting scratched up. Also, the center console is basically a giant hole. Youre gonna lose everything at the bottom if you dont get an insert. The BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Kia EV9 is like 25 bucks and works great. Since you have a 500 budget, maybe look at the Lectron Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter 48 Amp Max too. It allows you to use Tesla destination chargers at hotels, which is a lifesaver for road trips. Dont stress too much, you're gonna love the car. Just take it slow at the lights at first till you get used to the speed!
