Hey everyone! I finally took the plunge and picked up my Kia EV9 GT-Line last weekend, and I am absolutely obsessed with it so far. The space inside feels like a literal lounge, and the tech is worlds ahead of my old ICE SUV. However, now that the 'new car smell' is settling in, I’m starting to realize that all this beautiful open space might need a little help to stay organized and protected.

Since I’m planning on using this as my primary family hauler, I’m a bit nervous about the light-colored interior and all that high-gloss trim. I’ve already noticed that the massive panoramic display is a total fingerprint magnet, which is driving my OCD a bit crazy. I’ve been looking at those tempered glass screen protectors, but I’m worried about glare. Has anyone found a matte version that doesn't dull the screen quality?

I’m also struggling with the 'floating' center console area. While the open space underneath is cool for a handbag or small bag, it feels like a missed opportunity for organization. Does anyone have a lead on a high-quality tray or divider that fits that space perfectly? I’d hate to just throw a generic plastic bin down there and ruin the premium aesthetic.

Lastly, I’m definitely in the market for some heavy-duty floor mats. The factory carpet ones look great, but with kids and a dog, they won’t last through the first rainy season. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the fitment of some third-party brands for the EV9 specifically, especially regarding the second-row captain's chairs and how they slide.

I’m really looking for recommendations on high-quality items that feel like they belong in a $70k+ vehicle. I’m not looking for the cheapest options, but rather the ones that offer the best fit and finish. For those of you who have had your EV9 for a few months now, what are the absolute 'must-have' interior accessories you’ve added to make the car more functional or to keep it looking brand new?

oh man, congrats on the GT-Line!! I literally just got mine a few months ago and I am sooo obsessed with it too... honestly that lounge feel is EVERYTHING. I totally get the OCD about the fingerprints tho!! Ngl, I was wiping that screen every five minutes until I finally installed a matte protector I found online. It basically saved my sanity because it cut the glare down a ton and the screen still looks super crisp. It’s definitely one of those things you gotta have if ur like me and hate smudges.

For that weird open console space, I actually found this really sleek tray that slides right in. My current setup keeps my sunglasses and keys organized instead of them just rattling around on the floor lol. It makes such a huge difference! Plus, I finally swapped the carpet mats for some heavy-duty ones that actually fit the sliding rails in the back. It was a bit of a struggle to find ones that didn’t jam the mechanism, but the ones I got work amazing!! Anyway, what color interior did you go with??

Basically, gloss screens reflect light cuz they lack a diffusion layer. To fix glare without losing clarity, you need etched glass.

1. **Screen:** Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Matte Screen Protector for Kia EV9 beats cheap films; it stays sharp.
2. **Console:** BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Kia EV9 fits that floating gap perfectly.
3. **Mats:** TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Kia EV9 vs WeatherTechTuxMat has better coverage for those sliding seats.

Hope that helps!

Late to the party but I totally feel you on the lounge vibe—honestly its the best part of the car! I had the same freak out when I saw my kids' muddy boots near that light interior for the first time. I ended up going with Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats for Kia EV9 and seriously, they are amazing. Everyone talks about the big names, but these have this really precise edge that covers every inch of the floor, especially around those sliding seats in the back. They dont look like chunky industrial mats either, so they still feel classy in such a nice ride. For that fingerprint magnet of a screen, I grabbed the YEE PIN 2024 Kia EV9 Navigation Screen Protector Matte. The install was actually kinda fun because it fits so perfectly that you cant even tell its there. It really cuts down on the glare when youve got the sunroof open, which was driving me nuts before. Honestly, I dont even notice the fingerprints anymore. And for that floating gap under the console, definitely look at the RUIYA Center Console Lower Organizer for Kia EV9. It turns that awkward open space into a proper storage area instead of just a big empty hole. I keep my sunglasses and charging cables there now and it keeps the premium look without stuff rolling around on the floor... its a total game changer for staying organized!

Just found this thread and honestly, I have been pretty disappointed with a lot of the custom gear I have bought so far. It is really tough because you want to keep that premium vibe, but unfortunately, so much stuff out there feels like it belongs in a budget hatchback, not a GT-Line. Definitely watch out for these common issues:

  • Watch for those screen protectors that claim to be matte but end up making the display look grainy. It totally ruins the high-tech look of the dash.
  • Be careful with cargo liners that dont have cutouts for the tie-down hooks. I bought one that covered everything and it was a total pain to use.
  • Avoid any console organizers that dont have a rubber lining. Without it, your keys and coins will slide around and drive you crazy with the noise. Early accessories for this car are kinda hit or miss right now. You might want to wait for more brands to catch up rather than settling for something that is not as good as expected. Honestly, dont rush into buying everything at once! It is a bummer to waste money on stuff that just doesnt fit right tho.

Building on the earlier suggestion about keeping that cabin pristine, you absolutely have to look at seat back protection if you have kids or a dog. The light upholstery in the GT-Line is gorgeous but it is basically a magnet for scuffs and mud! I ended up installing Topfit Kia EV9 Seat Back Protectors and they are a total game changer because they actually blend in with the premium look instead of looking like tacky plastic sheets. You really gotta be careful with compatibility tho... there is a huge difference in the floor layout between the 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. If you buy a generic cargo mat, it usually wont account for the way the second-row captain's chairs slide or how the third row folds. I am obsessed with Canvasback Kia EV9 Cargo Liners because they use a specialized material that velcros directly to the carpet. Unlike heavy rubber mats that can jam the seat tracks or slide around, these stay perfectly flush and let you move the seats freely without any bunching. It is the best way to keep that lounge vibe while making the car actually usable for a messy family life!

I spent way too much time obsessing over this for my own GT-Line because I was honestly terrified of my kids wrecking the interior on day one! I love this car so much and basically want it to stay in showroom condition forever...

  • For the screens, I actually went with the Musology Kia EV9 Screen Protector Matte Tempered Glass. I was worried about visibility but its amazing and feels super reliable. Its saved me from so many sticky finger smudges already, which is a huge relief.
  • If you want the absolute best floor protection, look at the 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Mats for Kia EV9. They have this crazy backing that keeps them from ever sliding around, which is a big safety plus for me. They look way more premium than those plastic-feeling brands too.
  • To keep that open space under the console useful, I grabbed the Pigenius Kia EV9 Lower Center Console Organizer Tray. It fits perfectly and keeps my gear from flying around when I take corners.
  • Since you have a dog, definitely get a Vailge Dog Car Seat Cover for Kia EV9. My pup jumped in with muddy paws last week and this thing totally saved my seats! It stays put and doesnt bunch up at all.

> I’m definitely in the market for some heavy-duty floor mats. To add to the point above, I totally get that! When I first got mine, I went down a massive rabbit hole looking at TPE density and shore hardness ratings because I wanted something that wouldnt warp under high heat cycles. The set I finally picked up fits the floor pan within a tiny 2mm tolerance which is absolutely insane for an aftermarket part! I actually spent three hours with a digital caliper just checking the edge thickness around the captains chairs because I was worried about the sliding mechanism clearance... its amazing how much engineering goes into a piece of rubber honestly. Love seeing the specs actually match the real-world fit. Anyway, while I was under there measuring everything, I found this tiny scratch on the seat rail and it reminded me of when I tried to ceramic coat my old gas SUV by myself in the garage. I ended up with these weird high spots because the humidity was like 90% that day and it looked like the car had chickenpox under the shop lights. I spent the whole weekend polishing it off and my arms were basically noodles by Sunday night. I think I used like four different grades of compound just to get back to the clear coat... what a mess. It was a nightmare but man, the gloss after I finally got it right was incredible. But yeah, definitely check the clearance on those sliding tracks!

Ok so I totally get the OCD lol! When I first got my EV9, I was panicked about the kids trashing it. Honestly, you dont need to spend a fortune to keep it NICE:

- Vancous Matte Screen Protector for 2024 Kia EV9 ($20)
- Motrobe Center Console Lower Organizer Tray for Kia EV9
- Auxko All Weather Floor Mats for Kia EV9

These are way cheaper than big brands but hold up GREAT!
