What wireless phone chargers work best in the Kia K5?

I’m loving my new Kia K5, but I’ve been having some real trouble with the built-in wireless charging pad. It seems to get my iPhone incredibly hot, and half the time it barely even charges if I have my case on. I’m looking for an aftermarket wireless charger that fits well in the center console area without looking cluttered. Has anyone found a specific brand or mount that works better than the stock one? I'm specifically curious if there are any MagSafe options that stay secure during turns or if there's a trick to getting the built-in one to stay connected. What wireless charging setup are you guys using in your K5 that actually stays cool and consistent?

TL;DR from this thread: the consensus is the built-in charger is basically a *bread oven* for your phone. Most people agree it's better to bypass it. If you want a budget-friendly fix that stays cool, I'd skip the expensive mounts and look at the Loncaster Silicone Car Phone Holder Dash Mat. It's like $15 and sits perfectly on the console. Since it's open-air, your phone won't bake like it does in that cubby. Just plug in a short Anker PowerLine II Lightning Cable 1ft and your golden tbh.

I feel u, the stock charger is basically a heater. Honestly, I'd suggest just grabbing the ESR Magnetic Wireless Car Charger with MagSafe for about $25. I tried sticking with the built-in one but it kept disconnecting, especially with my case on... so annoying. The ESR one is way cheaper than the fancy mounts and it actually stays cool. It clips right onto the vent and hasn't budged during sharp turns yet. Might want to consider that if ur looking to save some cash but still want a solid charge!

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year and honestly, you gotta be careful with high-wattage chargers in that cubby area. I found that if the mount doesnt have active cooling or decent airflow, it literally just bakes the phone battery even worse than the stock pad because of the K5's console design. I ended up switching to a basic MagSafe-style puck that I tucked into the side... it's not perfect but at least my iPhone+doesnt+throttle+anym&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone doesnt throttle anymore from the heat! Just watch out for anything that blocks the vents, cuz these phones get way too hot during summer drives.

I gave up on the stock charger pretty quick too. I switched over to the iOttie Easy One Touch Wireless 2 Dash Mount and honestly i'm very satisfied with the results. It pushes a consistent 7.5W for iPhones and the build quality is much better than the generic stuff. No complaints about it falling off or losing connection during turns. For better reliability, grab a Spigen ArcStation Car Charger 65W to power it. Using a dedicated high-wattage adapter prevents the voltage drops that cause phones to disconnect or overheat. The main trick is just getting the phone out of that cubby so it actually has some airflow. Works well for me and my phone stays at a normal temp now.
