I just picked up a new Aviator Grand Touring and I'm absolutely loving the plug-in power and that subtle blue badging. I really want to add some exterior accessories to make it stand out a bit more without ruining that clean, elegant look. I’ve been looking at the OEM splash guards to keep the panels clean, but I’m also debating if blacked-out roof rails or a subtle window tint would clash with the existing chrome accents. Has anyone added side steps or specific trim kits that really pop? I'm aiming for a 'factory-plus' aesthetic rather than something too flashy. What are the must-have exterior mods you’d recommend to enhance the Grand Touring's specific style?

In my experience with the Aviator platform, you definitely wanna stick to that "factory-plus" vibe. Honestly, the Lincoln Aviator Molded Splash Guards Part Number L1MZ-16A550-AA are a total no-brainer. They fit the contour perfectly and save your paint from road grime, which is basically essential for keeping that elegant look clean. For the tint, I’d suggest XPEL Prime XR Plus Ceramic Window Tint at 20% on the front windows to match the factory rear glass. It’s not just about looks; the IR heat rejection is seriouslyyy helpful for keeping the cabin cool without draining your EV battery as much. Also, iirc, the Lincoln Aviator Genuine Illuminated Running Boards are the way to go for steps. They look super sleek at night and dont ruin the profile. Blacking out the rails might clash with the GT's satin chrome tho, so maybe skip that... unless you’re doing a full chrome delete lol. peace!

In my experience, i'd be careful with the rails. Adding Lincoln Aviator Black Roof Rack Side Rails might clash with the GT chrome unless you do a full delete. • Option A: Lincoln Aviator Side Step Bars - Chrome. Matches accents perfectly, but honestly they’re slippery when wet.
• Option B: Lincoln Aviator Side Step Bars - Black. Way more durable, but looks less 'premium' imo. idk, consult a pro about ground clearance before installing... good luck!

I'd actually suggest a different approach—basically, expensive hardware can clutter the Aviator’s lines. If ur aiming for that factory-plus look on a budget, low-profile protection is key: - Lincoln Aviator Door Edge Guards: Protects paint for cheap.
- XPEL Door Sill Paint Protection Film: Better value than bulky steps. Make sure the surface is 100% prepped so it sticks. Do u think the blue badging pops enough with clear film? gl!

I have been doing a lot of market research on the latest luxury SUV trends and honestly, the factory-plus aesthetic is all about the stance and the paint depth. Most guys just stick to the dealer catalog, but if you look at what the high-end shops are doing for these premium builds, they focus on brands that emphasize the existing lines rather than adding bulk.

  • Go with Vossen for any wheel upgrades; their designs look way more sophisticated than the stock GT options.
  • For the finish, stick with Ceramic Pro for that permanent wet-look shine that really makes the blue accents pop.
  • If you want a slightly more planted look, just get any wheel spacers from H&R to flush out the fitment. Anyway, the market is definitely shifting toward these cleaner, high-quality mods. You dont want to clutter up such a nice platform with too many bolt-ons. Tbh, a solid ceramic coating and better fitment go way further than any trim kit ever will. ur gonna love the look once it is dialed in!
