I finally traded in my old SUV for a 2024 Aviator Grand Touring last month because I wanted the PHEV range for my commute in Chicago but honestly the interior is starting to drive me crazy. The piano black trim on the center console is a total nightmare. It shows every single fingerprint and I swear I already see micro-scratches just from placing my sunglasses there once. For a 70k car youd think they would use materials that actually stay looking nice for more than five minutes. Also the wireless charging pad is basically a slip-and-slide so my phone just flies off every time I take a corner. I love the way this thing drives but the constant cleaning and the lack of smart storage is making me regret not looking closer at the trim details. I have about 500 dollars set aside to get some stuff to protect the surfaces or actually make the storage usable because I cant keep living like this.
What interior accessories are you guys actually using that fit the Grand Touring correctly? Im looking for:
What brands should I be looking at for this specific model?
> The piano black trim on the center console is a total nightmare. Im very satisfied with VViViD Black Brushed Steel Vinyl Wrap. Its cheap and works well to hide scratches without costing a fortune.
Saw your post and honestly I had the same frustration with the center console. I went a different route for the mats tho because I hate the rugged truck look in a 70k car. If you want something that actually fits the vibe, TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Lincoln Aviator is the way to go. They cover basically every inch of the carpet and the material matches the leather interior way better than a standard rubber liner. Im super happy with how they handle the salt and slush. To fix the piano black without the DIY stress, look at the Rvinyl Matte Black Precut Dash Kit for Lincoln Aviator. It fits the console area nicely and kills that annoying glare. For the phone sliding issue, I ended up getting the ProClip Center Mount 855581 for Lincoln Aviator. Its a solid technical mount that stays put no matter how you take a corner. Tbh it makes the cockpit feel way more functional and doesnt look like a cheap suction cup.
^ This. Also, while wraps and liners were mentioned, they unfortunately often peel or look too industrial for my taste... kinda disappointing. For the sliding phone, the AOCOROE Center Console Organizer Tray is a way more stable solution than the factory pad. If you want real luxury, Lloyd Mats Luxe Carpet Floor Mats feel much better than standard liners. Its a safer, more professional look for a 70k car.
I completely agree with the point about the organizer tray! It is absolutely amazing how much more functional the cabin feels with just one simple addition. I love that we are finding ways to fix these little annoyances without spending a fortune. Here are a few things I have been researching that focus on long term reliability:
