Which wireless charger works best in a Lincoln Aviator console?

I recently picked up a 2023 Lincoln Aviator, and while I absolutely love the interior, I’m having a really hard time with the built-in wireless charging situation. I’m currently using an iPhone 15 Pro Max with a relatively thin MagSafe case, but it seems like the factory charging slot is just a bit too tight and finicky. Half the time, it doesn't even register that my phone is there, and when it does, it tends to overheat or stop charging the second I hit a small bump in the road.

I’ve tried repositioning it several times, but it’s just not reliable for longer trips. I’m looking for an aftermarket solution that fits neatly within the center console without creating a mess of wires or preventing the console lid from closing properly. Has anyone found a specific high-speed charging pad or a custom-fit insert that works better than the stock one? I'm particularly interested in something that can handle larger phones without constantly disconnecting. Does anyone have a specific brand or model of wireless charger that actually stays connected and fits well in the Aviator’s console?

Sooo I feel your pain with that stock Aviator charger! Honestly, I was highkey worried about my battery health because the heat was just INSANE. Since you've got that iPhone+15+Pro+Max&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 15 Pro Max, safety is a huge deal, especially with those sensitive batteries! I actually ended up going a different route to keep things cool and steady.

Here's what I'm using now that finally works for me:

* Mophie Snap+ Wireless Charging Vent Mount - I actually just tucked the base into the console gap and it holds the Pro Max like a champ without sliding around on bumps.
* OtterBox MagSafe Wireless Charging Pad - This one is super thin and doesn't seem to trigger that weird overheating shut-off like the factory slot does.

I reallyyy love how these don't get as hot. It's kinda annoying that we have to buy extra gear for a luxury car, but at least your phone wont fry! Good luck getting it sorted!! 👍

For ur situation, I would suggest looking at generic MagSafe pucks from brands like ESR or even a basic Belkin pad. Honestly, it’s safer than the stock one which ALWAYS overheats... just make sure whatever ur buying has decent heat protection cuz those batteries are sensitive. I’d skip the pricey custom stuff and just go with a thin, reputable pad—way better value and it actually stays connected to the Pro Max.

oh man, I feel u on this! I love my Aviator but that factory charger is basically a toaster for iPhones... seriously. For your situation, I would suggest going the DIY route with a slim pad because it's way cheaper than those custom shop installs! I basically did this in mine and it's been amazing for my Pro Max.

Here's what I recommend:

- I picked up the Anker 315 Wireless Charger (Pad) for like $15 on sale (usually $20ish). It's super thin, so it actually fits right on top of the existing slot without blocking the lid!!
- Basically, I just used some thin double-sided tape to secure it. Plus, since it’s got a grippy surface, the phone doesn't slide around when you hit bumps like it does on the slick factory plastic.
- If u want MagSafe specifically, Apple MagSafe Charger works too, but you gotta find a way to tuck the cord. Honestly, the Anker is a better value cuz it's flat and keeps things looking highkey clean.

It's literally a night and day difference and sooo much more reliable than the stock one... gl! 👍

Honestly, I've had issues with the Aviator's stock setup for years and it's basically useless for the Pro Max. For your situation, I'd suggest skipping the factory slot entirely.

Here's what I recommend:

**Option A: Custom Fit**
I've seen the LucidShield Lincoln Aviator Wireless Charging Pad work way better because it's actually designed for larger phones and doesn't *literally* cook your battery like the Ford/Lincoln factory one does.

**Option B: Slim Pad DIY**
If you want a cheaper fix, just grab a Satechi Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable and double-side tape it to a thin piece of plastic in the cubby. It stays connected even on bumps cuz of the magnets, unlike the stock one that loses its mind if you move an inch.

Anyway, the stock one is pretty trash tbh, so basically anything Magsafe-based is gonna be a massive upgrade. gl!
