Just picked up a 2024 hatch and man, I forgot how sensitive this piano black trim is compared to my old CX-5. I was thinking of getting TPU covers but maybe I should prioritize a cargo tray for my camping gear first? Budget is $300 for now. What are the actual essentials for these?

Agree with the Husky recommendation. I'm satisfied using the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000A Jump Starter for camping. It works well, fits the hatch cubby perfectly, and costs under $100 tbh.

I opted for the Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Mats Mazda 3 Hatchback over the Mazda tray. The TPE material is way more rigid and the high walls stop spills from hitting the carpet better. They usually cost about $160. For the interior, I added a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector Mazda 3 8.8 Inch which prevents micro-scratches on the display. Both upgrades stay way under your $300 budget.

In my experience, that piano black is basically a scratch magnet. I learned the hard way with my old hatch and spent way too long buffing it out. Definitely grab the Mikstore Mazda 3 Piano Black TPU Interior Protector kits before you touch it again. For camping, the Mazda Genuine Accessories Cargo Tray BEMD-V0-360 is a total tank. Ive dragged muddy tents over it for years and the carpet's still pristine.
