Hey everyone! I finally did it—I just picked up a brand new 2024 Mazda CX-5 in Soul Red Crystal last weekend. I’m absolutely in love with how premium the cabin feels; it honestly punches way above its weight class compared to the other compact SUVs I test-drove. However, now that the 'new car smell' is in full effect, I’m also getting that inevitable anxiety about keeping it pristine.

I live in an area where we get a fair amount of rain and mud, and the factory carpet mats already look like they’re going to be a nightmare to keep clean. I’ve been looking into all-weather floor mats, but I’m torn. I’ve seen the Mazda OEM ones, but some people on other threads mentioned that TuxMat or WeatherTech provide better coverage, especially for the dead pedal area. I want something that offers high-wall protection but doesn't make the interior look like a rugged work truck—I really want to maintain that 'classy' Mazda aesthetic.

Another thing I noticed is the center console. It’s basically just one deep, dark pit! I’m constantly fishing around for my sunglasses or my garage clicker. Has anyone found a specific tray organizer that fits perfectly and doesn't rattle? Also, I’ve been seeing those tempered glass screen protectors for the infotainment display. Are those actually helpful for preventing fingerprints, or do they just cause more glare when the sun hits the dash?

I’m not looking to go overboard with mods, but I’m definitely willing to spend a bit more on high-quality items that look like they belong there. I really want to protect the investment while making the car a bit more functional for daily commuting.

If you’ve owned a CX-5 for a while, what are the absolute 'must-have' interior accessories you’d recommend for a new owner to keep the cabin looking and functioning its best?

Ok so I feel u, the OEM ones are lowkey disappointing cuz the coverage is basically zero. I tried Mazda CX-5 All-Weather Floor Mats but honestly? Save ur money and grab TuxMat Mazda CX-5 2017-2024 Custom Fit Floor Mats instead. They're like $200 but look sooo classy. Also, get a EDBETOS Mazda CX-5 Center Console Tray for $15... it literally fixed that "pit" problem. Such a steal! gl!

Ok so I literally just went through this!! To keep that premium vibe without breaking the bank, here's my top picks: * 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mats for 2024 Mazda CX-5
* JDMSPEED Center Console Organizer Tray They fit perfect and dont look like rugged truck gear at all. Best value for your money for sure. gl!

I've spent way too much time obsessing over micro-scratches on my previous CX-5 center consoles. Over the years, I've realized the piano black trim is the actual weak point of the Mazda interior. It is technically beautiful but lacks real durability against daily wear. In my experience, you have to protect those surfaces before the first detail.

  • XPEL Interior Protection Film Kit for 2024 Mazda CX-5 is the primary solution for the shifter area and door switch plates. It is a precise DIY cut that maintains the factory gloss while preventing scuffs.
  • Fitcamx Dash Cam 4K for Mazda CX-5 2024 is my favorite technical modification because it integrates into the housing behind the rearview mirror. It draws power from the sensor, meaning no visible cables and a completely OEM look.
  • Canvasback Cargo Liner for Mazda CX-5 offers superior utility compared to a standard rubber tray. It covers the carpeting on the seat backs, which is vital when you're loading muddy gear with the seats folded down. Dont overlook the door sills either. I usually apply some clear vinyl there as well. Mazdas paint is famously thin, especially that Soul Red, so shielding the interior contact points is just as essential as the floor mats.

> Are those actually helpful for preventing fingerprints? Glass reflects too much. For the CX-5 angle, grab MXT Anti-Glare Screen Protector for 10.25-inch Mazda CX-5 to kill fingerprints and glare. It works way better.

• **Background info**: Pedal clearance is serious technical business—any accessory that shifts can totally mess with your response time!
• **Why it matters**: I'm highkey safety-first cuz my first setup once slid under the brake... literally my worst nightmare.
• **Quick question -**: Do you usually have passengers or kids in the back? It really affects which locking systems I'd recommend to keep things safe!!

Jumping in here... honestly, ive tried many brands over the years and i usually disagree with the TuxMat hype for daily drivers. While they look premium, they can actually be a bit slippery when wet. In my experience, you want something more rugged if youre dealing with actual mud and rain.

  • WeatherTech FloorLiner for 2024 Mazda CX-5
  • These are laser-measured and wont budge. I prioritize the rigid high-wall safety over the quilted look. They run about $130 for the front set and are way easier to spray down.
  • Vehicle OCD Salex Organizers Center Console Tray for Mazda CX-5
  • This is around $20 and made of higher quality plastic than the generic ones. It doesnt rattle, which is the biggest annoyance with these trays.
  • Mazda OEM Cargo Tray KB7W-V0-360
  • If you get a lot of rain, the carpet in the trunk is gonna get ruined fast. Stick with the official rubber tray for the back because it fits the anchors perfectly. Keeping it simple is usually the safest bet for protecting your investment without adding stuff that might shift around while youre driving...
