Hey everyone! I just picked up a 2022 MX-5 and I am absolutely in love with the drive, but the interior is definitely a bit tight. I am finding it hard to keep things organized during my weekend trips.

I am looking for some practical interior mods to make the cabin more livable. Specifically, I am interested in:

  • Better cup holder solutions since the stock ones are awkward
  • A solid phone mount that doesn't block the vents
  • Extra storage cubbies for the center console

What are your absolute must-have accessories for the Miata? I really want to optimize the space without cluttering the clean look of the cockpit.

Late to this, but quick question: are you using an XL phone or a standard size? The weight specs really affect mount stability during high-G cornering, which is a major safety concern for me. For a budget fix, I suggest the MX5Parts Mazda ND Center Console Cup Holder Extension. It is cheap and keeps bottles secure so they dont slide into your gear shifter.

Congrats on the ND! Honestly, the CravenSpeed Gemini Flex Phone Mount is my top pick because it is super stable compared to cheaper clip-ons. For storage, I compared the IL Motorsport Center Console Shelf against generic bins, and the IL one fits the factory look way better. It is perfect for your wallet and keys without cluttering the dash. Definitely worth the small investment for daily use.

Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.

Agree that organization is key for safety so nothing slides around during spirited drives. Quick question tho, is your ND a manual? Shift clearance really limits where you can put some accessories.

So far we have a sturdy phone mount and a console shelf covered. To save a few bucks, I suggest checking out the Auctua Mazda MX-5 ND Console Side Organizer Pocket. It adds extra storage without the high price tag of boutique brands. Honestly, generic plastic bins work just fine as long as they dont wiggle around or block the handbrake during an emergency.
