I’m struggling to find a solid phone mount for my E-Class. The dashboard layout is so sleek, but the circular turbine vents make clip-on holders really unstable. I’m looking for something that won't block the screen or damage the leather trim. Does anyone have experience with a specific magnetic or custom-fit mount that actually stays secure during turns?
Commenting to find later
Seconding the recommendation above for custom mounts! In my experience, those turbine vents are basically a death trap for your phone. I've tried many generic vent clips over the years and they literally just flop around, which is super dangerous when you're taking turns. Honestly, just get any of the custom-fit brackets from ProClip. They're a bit pricier but so worth it for the peace of mind and safety. Basically, you want something that doesn't move at all while driving, you know? gl!
Curious about one thing: are you rocking the dual-screen setup or the older analog dials? Technically, the clearance for the Kuda Phone Base for Mercedes E-Class W213 varies based on the trim gap, and I wanna make sure the CAD specs fit ur dash perfectly. TL;DR: Need ur specific dashboard version before I suggest a magnetic mount that won't fry ur sensors!!

Seconding the recommendation above. I've been doing market research on interior accessories for years, and ProClip Center Mount 855239 for Mercedes E-Class is literally the gold standard for W213 dashes.
Sooo, besides ProClip, you should look into A-Tach Mounts Mercedes E-Class 2017-2023 Dashboard Mount. It's a similar concept—basically a custom-molded plastic bracket that snaps into the dash seams.
Why these work better? The turbine vents in the E-Class are too deep for generic clips. I mean, I've tried many, and they all eventually sag or scratch the trim. If you want magnetic, get the ProClip base and pair it with the MagicMount Pro 2 Dash/Vent Magnetic Phone Mount. It’s way more secure during turns than those floppy vent clips. gl!
Dude i feel u, those turbine vents look cool but they're literally the worst for mounts. Honestly, i'm super satisfied with the custom-fit bases from ProClip. Just get any of their vehicle-specific mounts... basically clips into the dash seams so it wont damage the leather or block ur screen. A bit pricier but the value is there for the stability. Works well tho! Gl
> Basically, you want something that doesn't move at all while driving, you know? So true! I’ve had my E-Class for over three years now and honestly, after trying a bunch of stuff, I just gave up on the dashboard entirely. I was so worried about the clips eventually leaving marks on that nice leather trim or snapping the vent fins. My quick tip is to look at the WeatherTech CupFone. It’s what I’ve been using for a long time because it just sits in the cup holder—no sticky stuff or clips needed. It stays totally still during turns and doesn't block any of the dash screens. I guess it depends if you need your cup holders for coffee though! Does anyone else find the cup holder position a bit low for looking at maps, or is it just something you get used to?
> Seconding the recommendation above for custom mounts! In my experience, those turbine vents are basically a death trap for your phone. Regarding what #5 said there... hes totally right. I have been driving Mercedes for a decade and those vents are just for show when it comes to accessories. Honestly, the consensus here seems to be either go custom-fit or go with a cup holder mount, and thats the right call. One thing I gotta warn everyone about tho is those sticky gel-pad suction mounts. Ive seen people ruin their E-Class leather dash because the adhesive reacts with the trim in the summer heat. It leaves a nasty permanent ring or even peels the finish when you try to move it later. It is a total heartbreaker to peel one off and see a permanent mark on your expensive interior. Basically, if you arent going the custom-fit route like the ProClip stuff everyone has mentioned, just stick to the cup holder. Better to look down a bit than ruin the dash, especially since those turbine vents just wont cut it for stability anyway.
