Hey everyone! I just picked up a new Mitsubishi Outlander and I am absolutely loving the ride so far. I really want to personalize the exterior a bit to make it stand out, but I also want pieces that are actually functional for daily use.
I have been looking into getting some slim window deflectors and maybe a hood protector to keep the stone chips away. I am also considering a roof rack system for weekend trips, but I am worried about extra wind noise.
Does anyone have experience with specific brands that fit the Outlander perfectly? What are the must-have exterior accessories you would recommend for a clean, rugged look?
Before I give advice, what year is it? WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors vs EGR Slimline In-Channel Rain Guards. WeatherTech basically has better seal integrity and theyre definately quieter.
sooo for noise and chips, i suggest:
OEM fits better and Thule is literally silent. gl!
Building on the earlier suggestion, I went a totally different path with my own Outlander. Noise was a huge concern, so I snagged the Yakima JetStream Crossbars Black 50in and they are dead silent! Comparing them back-to-back with some Thule bars a neighbor had, the Yakima aero shape just seems to cut through the air better. Also if you want that rugged look, dont sleep on the AVS In-Channel Ventvisor Side Window Deflector 4pc. These look so much sleeker than the ones that stick on the outside and they dont mess with the window seal at all. Quick tip tho... always clean the channels with alcohol before you pop those deflectors in or they wont stick for long! Love how customizable these SUVs are.
Same here!
in my experience, i spent way too much on my first setup... i found that the low-profile bars i got were way quieter than the bulky ones cuz of the aero shape.
