Found that ChargePoint and Wallbox are top-rated but some folks say the Ariya gets picky with certain smart features. I'm looking for something for my driveway in rainy Seattle so it gotta be weatherproof.
Which one actually works best without constant errors?
Just found this thread. You might want to consider the Autel MaxiCharger Home Electric Vehicle EV Charger 40 Amp 25ft Cable. Make sure to double check that NEMA 4 rating because Seattle rain is nasty... I would suggest keeping the smart features disabled if your Ariya starts acting up tho. TL;DR: The Autel is super durable for rainy driveways and very budget friendly.
Unfortunately, the smart features on the ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV Charger 50 Amp have been quite disappointing when paired with the Ariya. Handshaking errors occur far too frequently. For a rainy Seattle driveway, you really need a NEMA 4 rated enclosure. The Grizzl-E Classic Level 2 EV Charger 40 Amp 24ft Cable is much more robust. Its a solid aluminum unit that handles moisture better than those overpriced smart chargers.
