I recently picked up a 992 Carrera and want to sharpen the driving experience. I’m looking for mods that improve throttle response or handling without ruining the daily ride quality. Thinking about high-flow cats or maybe a DSC Sport controller. What are the essential performance upgrades you’d recommend for a better feel on the road?

yo! congrats on the 992, honestly such a sick car. i was in your shoes a few months back... felt like the car was almost too refined for its own good, you know? i wanted that raw edge but didn't wanna break my back on the way to work. in my experience, the first thing you gotta get is the DSC Sport V4 Controller for Porsche 992. it literally transforms the PASM. basically, it reacts way faster than the stock unit to g-force, so it keeps the car flatter in corners but actually feels smoother over highway bumps. lowkey the best bang for buck mod out there for handling. for that throttle response, i tried the Soul Performance Products 992 Carrera Sport Catalytic Converters. the turbo spool sounds are insane now and it definitely feels punchier. just a heads up tho, it makes the cold starts pretty loud lol. lesson learned? start with the controller first. it sharpens everything up without making the car annoying to live with every day. gl! 👍

Ok so I went through this exact same thing last year. Honestly, the 992 is such a beast but it definitely feels a bit filtered from the factory, you know? I wanted that instant response without making it a chore to drive to the office. Basically, the big bottleneck is backpressure. I ended up swapping in the Soul Performance Products 200-Cell Sport Catalytic Converters and it's probably the best move I made. Technically, by reducing that restriction right off the turbos, you get way faster spool-up. It literally makes the throttle feel connected to ur brain rather than a computer. Plus, it sounds way more '911' without being obnoxious. To really dial in the engine logic, I used the M-Engineering M-Tuner Calibration Suite for Porsche 992 Carrera. It’s not just a basic tune; it actually lets u customize the wastegate crack pressure and throttle maps. It fixes that 'dead' feeling at the top of the pedal... makes a huge difference in how the car delivers power. On the handling side, I know the first guy mentioned the DSC Sport V4 Controller—and seriously, he’s right, it’s a must. But I also added Elephant Racing Adjustable Rear Toe Links to the mix. It helps with the rear-end stability under heavy braking by keeping the alignment geometry consistent. Basically, it makes the car feel more 'mechanical' and less like the electronics are doing all the work. Super satisfied with how it turned out tbh. Cheers! 👍
