I'm taking my new 992 Turbo S to its first track event next month and feel a bit underprepared. I want to keep the car safe while pushing it.

I'm specifically looking for:

  • High-temp brake fluid suggestions
  • Precision tire gauges
  • Protective magnetic stone guards

What are your must-have track day accessories for this car?

Congrats on the 992, thats a lot of car for a first track day! Since youre being cautious, my biggest tip is to swap your fluid for Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid DOT 4. The Turbo S is heavy and generates massive heat, so having that high boiling point is a huge safety net against brake fade. I also swear by the Longacre Racing Deluxe 2.5 Inch Tire Pressure Gauge 0-60 PSI for keeping things consistent. Pressures will spike as you get faster, so checking them after every session is basically non-negotiable for grip and safety. For the paint, look into MagnaGrafik Magnetic Stone Guards for those wide rear arches. Those sticky tires kick up everything... better safe than sorry.

Been thinking about your first day... safety is priority #1. I would definitely look up the PCA tech inspection forms online, they are a lifesaver for prep. Also, grab some XPEL Tracwrap Temporary Paint Protection Film 6in x 40ft for the rear arches. It is way cheaper than fixing rock chips later. I also swear by Motul RBF 660 Factory Line Dot 4 Brake Fluid for reliability.
