Picked up my Taycan 4S this morning and it's already pouring here in Seattle so I'm panicking about the white interior getting ruined. I need to order stuff today cuz I'm heading to Oregon on Friday. I looked at those Porsche Tequipment floor mats but $250 seems steep for how thin they look in photos? Read that WeatherTech is better for rain but I dont want my car looking like a truck. Also really confused about the charger storage... some people say the car includes a bag but mine didnt come with anything? What are the absolute day-one must haves I need to buy? I have about $1000 left to spend on this before we leave.
Congrats on the pickup! Honestly, stay away from those Porsche Tequipment mats if you're worried about Seattle rain. I bought them for my first Taycan and they let mud soak right into the carpet edges because the lip is too low. Huge mistake. For that white interior, you absolutely need Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield 50ml before you hit the road to Oregon. Spending a weekend scrubbing blue jean dye off my seats was a total nightmare, so I would suggest doing the coating immediately so you dont regret it. Be careful with the WeatherTech ones too, they can feel a bit industrial. Try looking at TuxMat Porsche Taycan Custom Floor Mats instead since they look premium but still handle the slush. Regarding the charger, check under the false floor in the frunk... sometimes it's hiding there. If not, just grab a Thule GoPack Duffel 8006 to keep the cables from rattling in the trunk.
Did your Taycan include the Mobile Charger Plus or the Connect? In my experience, Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield 50ml provides the most reliable protection against denim dye transfer on white interiors.
