Recommended suspension upgrades for the Ram 1500 RHO?

Hey everyone! I just recently took delivery of my new Ram 1500 RHO, and while the factory Bilstein BlackHawk e2 setup is honestly impressive right out of the box, I’m already thinking about how to take it to the next level. I’m coming from an older Rebel where I did a full overhaul, so I have the itch to tweak this one too.

I’m mainly looking for a bit more ground clearance to fit slightly larger tires, but I’m really torn on the best approach. I’ve seen some early talk about Geiser performance springs or even Eibach leveling kits, but I’m worried about how those might affect the factory electronic damping systems. I definitely don't want to lose that 'active' feel that makes the RHO so smooth on the road. Specifically, I'm curious if anyone has found a kit that improves high-speed bottom-out resistance for desert runs without making the daily commute feel like a brick.

Has anyone here started experimenting with suspension mods on the RHO yet? I’m looking to spend around $1,500–$2,500 for the right setup. Does anyone have specific recommendations for a leveling kit or spring upgrade that maintains the ride quality and functionality of the BlackHawks?

Ok so before I give any specific advice, curious about one thing: what's your ACTUAL goal for the larger tires? Are you trying to cram 37s in there or just looking for a more aggressive 35-inch stance? Since you mentioned a budget of $1,500–$2,500, that really dictates if we're looking at just leveling the front or doing a more technical mid-travel setup with the BlackHawks... basically, the tire size changes everything for the geometry.

Honestly, I was in the exact same boat last month! I really wanted that extra clearance but was superrr worried about messing with the active damping.

I ended up going with the Geiser Performance Ram 1500 RHO Progressive Rate Leveling Springs and it works so well. Here's the deal:

* **Ride Quality:** It keeps that smooth active feel but handles high-speed bumps way better.
* **Value:** It's way cheaper than a full bypass setup, costing around $600-700.

I'm seriously happy with how it sits now. Just a quick tip: make sure you get a proper alignment right after or your tires will wear weirdly!! gl with the build!

yo, congrats on the new truck! so basically i went through this exact same thing with my buddy's truck last month. we were *super* worried about messing up that active damping too cuz those BlackHawks are highkey the best part of the RHO. honestly, we ended up trying out some Geiser performance springs and i gotta say... it’s probably exactly what youre looking for.

we noticed it gave just enough lift to clear 35s or even 37s if you trim a bit, but the real win was the high-speed stuff. it felt way more planted hitting those deeper whoops in the desert, like it actually has *more* bottom-out resistance than stock now. but yeah, for the daily commute? it still feels smooth. maybe a tiny bit stiffer over potholes, but nothing like a brick. i think it keeps that 'active' feel perfectly. gl with the build, the RHO is a beast!!
