I just picked up a TRX and want to get it trail-ready! I’m looking for high-quality mods like Baja Designs lighting or beefier rock sliders that won't compromise ground clearance. Since the truck is already so capable, what are the absolute must-have accessories you recommend for hitting technical terrain?

yo, honestly i think you're gonna love the TRX on the trails! I’m still kinda figuring things out myself and haven't done everything yet, but I spent way too much time researching mods lately. Here's what I recommend: * **Lighting:** You mentioned Baja Designs Squadron Pro LED Light Pods, and they really are awesome compared to something like Rigid Industries D-Series Pro Driving Lights. The color is way more natural for high-speed stuff. I would suggest getting the Baja Designs TRX Fog Pocket Light Kit with Squadron Pro Lights because it basically looks factory and doesnt mess with the air vents.
* **Sliders:** This is tricky for clearance. I compared the ADD Offroad Stealth Fighter Rock Sliders against the White Knuckle Off Road Ram 1500 TRX Rock Sliders. The ADD ones are super sleek and high-tuck, but the White Knuckle ones are literally bulletproof DOM steel. I went with ADD for the look, but just be careful because they aren't quite as beefy for heavy slams.
* **Skid Plates:** I might want to consider the Foutz Motorsports Ram TRX Front Skid Plate Replacement. The stock one is okay, but this one is way thicker for technical rocks. Basically, if you want the best clearance, go with the ADD sliders. Just make sure to check the bolts after ur first trip... I've heard they can settle. Anyway, hope that helps! gl with the build! 👍

Saw this earlier but just now responding... I went through this last year and honestly, it was kind of a nightmare. I spent a ton of money on parts that looked cool but unfortunately performed like garbage on technical trails. I learned the hard way that when your dealing with a truck this heavy, generic mods just fold. Basically, I had some sliders that claimed to be "high clearance" but they actually bent the first time I pivoted on a rock... so frustrating. After that fail, I got way more into the technical specs and swapped things out:
* I ended up going with SVC Offroad RAM TRX Rock Sliders because the weld-on strength is just on another level compared to bolt-ons.
* For lighting, I had issues with heat soak on smaller pods, so I moved to the KC HiLiTES Gravity LED Pro6 8-Light Light Bar System—the modularity is SO helpful.
* Also added SDHQ Built RAM TRX A-Pillar Light Mounts because they're way beefier than the flimsy ones I started with. Anyway, just sharing my experience... dont make the same mistakes I did with ur build!

Curious about one thing: what's ur budget and are we talking rocky technical stuff or fast runs? Safety is key for structural integrity, so I wanna give the BEST advice possible! it'll be amazinggg tho!!
