Just grabbed the ProMaster EV for my delivery route in Philly and need it ready by next week. Saw some generic shelving on Amazon but heard the EV floor bolts are weird compared to the gas ones? Got about 2 grand for:

  • heavy duty floor mats
  • a solid bulkhead
  • cargo lighting

What fits the EV layout best without accidentally drilling into the batteries?

Watch those floor bolts, I saw a guy almost hit a cell last week. Dont drill deep. Check used listings for these:

Adding a bit more to this... I've been really happy with my setup and it kept me well under that 2k mark. The battery pack sits pretty high under the floor so you definitely want to avoid traditional self-tapping screws. I learned the hard way that the EV chassis has specific mounting zones that differ from the gas models.

  • For the floor, I used Legend Fleet Solutions StabiliGrip Floor ProMaster because it is precision cut for the EV. It uses the factory D-ring locations so you dont have to drill a single hole into the van floor.
  • The bulkhead choice was Masterack Steel Partition ProMaster. It works well because it sits slightly further forward which gives you more cargo room, and honestly the noise dampening is great for an electric van where you hear everything.
  • Lighting is key for those Philly winters. I installed the Grote LED White Motion Sensor Strip 12V and it makes a world of difference when you're digging for a package at 5pm. Basically just stick to the factory mounting points and you wont have any issues with the battery warranty.

Make sure you verify chassis-specific mounting points to avoid the battery pack. Id suggest:
