I just took delivery of my R1S Dual-Motor and I’m absolutely loving it, but I’m already worried about keeping the interior clean with winter right around the corner. Since it's a 3-row setup, I really need something that fits perfectly around the seat tracks and offers solid coverage for the kids in the back. I’ve looked at the official Rivian mats, but I’m also seeing options from brands like 3D MAXpider and WeatherTech. I want something that doesn't slide around and is easy to hose off after a muddy hike. For those of you who have had your R1S for a while, which all-weather mats do you think offer the best durability and fit?

Just sharing my experience: I went with WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit for Rivian R1S because the laser-measured thermoplastic elastomer is highkey worth the $200. It doesn't slide and handles mud like a pro, tbh!!
Basically, when u have a 3-row setup like the R1S, the mat fitment is actually a major safety issue, not just a cleaning one. If a mat isn't anchored right, it can slide under the driver's pedals or jam the seat tracks, which is a total nightmare when ur trying to let kids out of the back. I've seen cheap ones cause real problems over the years.
Here's what I recommend for the best balance of safety and coverage:
• Rivian R1S All-Weather Floor Mats: These are the safest bet cuz they use the official OEM locking pins. They won't budge at all.
• 3D MAXpider Kagu Series All-Weather Floor Mats for Rivian R1S: The fit around the seat tracks is perfect. They have a grippy backing that stays put without sliding.
• WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for Rivian R1S: These are great for hosing off after mud and they don't get slippery when wet.
Honestly, I'm super satisfied with the 3D MAXpider ones tho. They've worked well for me for a while now. gl!
oh man, congrats on the delivery! i totally feel u on the winter prep... kids + mud in a 3-row suv is literally a recipe for disaster lol. In my experience, if you want that perfect fit around the seat tracks, you should just go with 3D MAXpider. I’ve tried many mats over the years, and they highkey have the best "velcro" feel on the bottom so they never slide. WeatherTech is also solid but can feel a bit stiff sometimes? Honestly, since I'm still kinda new to the Rivian world, I was worried about spending too much, but these offer the best value for hosing them off after a hike. Basically, you can't go wrong with anything from 3D MAXpider.
TL;DR: Go with 3D MAXpider for the best grip and fit without the official Rivian markup.
So basically the consensus is that both 3D MAXpider and WeatherTech are the heavy hitters here. It’s funny cuz back when I got my first big SUV like ten years ago, I cheaped out on some generic mats and ended up with a permanent salt stain that literally ruined the resale value later. Lesson learned: don't skimp on the 3-row coverage, especially with kids involved!
Anyway, looking at what the guys above mentioned, you've got two very different vibes going on. One person is swearing by the textured fit of the 3D mats while the other loves the laser-measured plastic of the WeatherTechs. Honestly, both brands have been around forever, but they feel totally different under your feet. I’ve found that the "bucket" style is amazing for mud, but they can sometimes feel a bit slippery when wet.
I saw this earlier but just now responding... but yeah, before you drop a few hundred bucks, I have a couple questions to help narrow it down. What's your actual budget for the full 3-row set? Also, are you looking for something that blends in with the R1S premium interior, or do you prefer the high-wall "industrial" look that catches every single drop of slush? Some of those heavy-duty mats can look a bit "work truck" if you aren't careful, even if they're GREAT for cleaning. Anyway, just something to think about... peace!
