What are the must-have interior accessories for a new Rivian R1S?

Honestly I am sitting here in my garage just looking at the interior of my R1S and I am actually kinda annoyed. Like I spent almost ninety thousand dollars on this thing and waited over a year and it feels like the designers just forgot that people actually put stuff in their cars? The center console is basically a giant bottomless pit where my phone and keys just disappear into the abyss every time I take a turn and there is literally nowhere to put a decent sized water bottle without it rattling around like crazy. I love the drive and the tech is cool but the lack of basic storage logic is driving me insane already and I have only had the car for six days.

We are up in the Seattle area so with the kids and the rain the floor mats that came with it are already looking like a disaster zone because they dont trap any of the mud or pine needles from the park. I really need to get this thing organized before my wife loses her mind because she cant find her sunglasses and the kids already managed to kick the back of the seats and leave scuff marks that wont come off easily. I am looking to spend maybe five or six hundred bucks right now just to make it livable but I dont even know where to start because there are so many random brands on Amazon and I dont want to buy cheap plastic crap that is gonna smell or rattle or look out of place in a premium cabin.

What are the absolute must-have interior accessories you guys are using to actually make this thing functional? I am looking for stuff like:

  • a real center console organizer so I dont lose my mind
  • floor mats that actually handle real mud and kids
  • something to protect the back of the front seats from dirty shoes
  • maybe a better way to store stuff under the seats or in the trunk area

Is there anything else I am missing that makes the daily driver experience less of a headache? I really want to love this car but right now the lack of organization is just making me stressed every time I get in it...

Building on the earlier suggestion, youve basically got the basics like mats and storage covered now. Since youre looking to save cash, maybe stick to TPE bundles for the floor. One safety thing people miss tho... grab EV Sportline Team 1EV Rivian R1S Lifting Jack Pad Pucks for the trunk. Most shops wont have them and you cant risk them crushing the battery frame if you ever get a flat.

I had issues with the factory mats basically immediately since they just arent deep enough for real mud. Unfortunately, my first cheap organizer rattled because the tolerances were garbage. Swapped to 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Mat Rivian R1S because the multi-layer TPE actually traps debris. For the pit, get the BestEvMod R1S Center Console Organizer Tray. It fits the 0.5mm gap perfectly and finally stops stuff from sliding.

I spent a month digging my keys out of that center pit before I finally got organized... just be careful with the hard plastic inserts because they rattle. I compared these for my setup:
