I just picked up a 2023 WRX and love it, but I’m looking for a bit more pep and sharper handling for my daily commute. I'm considering an Accessport or maybe some stiffer sway bars. My budget is around $1,500. What are the best 'bang-for-your-buck' mods you’d recommend for a first-time owner?
Quick question - manual or CVT? Tbh stiff sways felt realy wierd on my old build... kinda ruined the ride. Maybe try Whiteline Front Strut Tower Brace KSB652 for sharper turn-in instead?
Curious about one thing: you worried about warranty?
1. EBC Yellowstuff Front Brake Pads DP42334R (bite vs dust)
2. Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 245/40R18 (grip vs price)
Tbh be careful with tunes!
Yo, congrats on the new VB! I've been tinkering with Subies for years, and honestly, the FA24 engine in the '23 is such a beast with just a few tweaks. For your budget, I would suggest starting with the Cobb Tuning Accessport V3 for 2022-2024 Subaru WRX. It literally transforms the car by smoothing out the power band and adding that 'pep' youre looking for. But be careful... tuning can definitely flag your car for warranty stuff if the dealer is strict, so just keep that in mind. To fix the handling, you gotta do a rear sway bar. I'm running the Perrin 22mm Rear Sway Bar for 2022-2024 WRX and it basically killed all that factory understeer. Here's what I recommend for that $1,500 budget:
* Cobb Tuning Accessport V3 - Great for power and monitoring temps.
* Perrin 22mm Rear Sway Bar - Makes the car rotate sooo much better.
* Billetworkz Short Shift Plate Kit - Makes the gear throws feel super crisp for the commute. That setup is a total game changer and leaves you some cash for a good alignment. The car feels way more alive with these. Good luck!! 👍
