Ok so I just went through this whole process of putting a rack on my Model Y and honestly I was pretty terrified about that glass roof. I have always been a DIY person but the tolerances on the Tesla glass are like super tight. I ended up getting a setup that basically clamps into those little hidden slots under the trim. Here is what I noticed while setting it all up:

• The metal clips need to be perfectly lined up or ur gonna stress the glass
• Even with a sleek design I definitely saw about a 5 to 8 percent hit on my range during highway trips
• Wind noise is way more noticeable than I thought it would be since the car is so quiet normally But like, does anyone know if the weight limits are actually that strict? I was always worried about overloading it because of the pressure points. I definitely learned that taking it slow during the install is the only way to go if u dont want to crack anything. Is the extra range loss worth the convenience? Tbh I still havent decided if I wanna keep mine on full-time or just for trips.
