What is the most reliable trunk organizer for the Tesla Model Y?

Hey everyone! I’ve been driving my Model Y for about three months now, and while I absolutely love the storage capacity, the trunk situation is becoming a bit of a nightmare. Every time I take a corner or have to hit the brakes a little harder than usual, I hear my groceries and gear sliding across that flat trunk floor. It’s gotten to the point where I’m actually nervous to put anything fragile back there.

I’ve been looking for a solid trunk organizer, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options on Amazon and through third-party Tesla accessory sites. My main issue is that I need something that actually stays put. I’ve seen some cheap collapsible ones, but I’m worried they’ll just slide around on the carpet just as much as my loose items do. I’m specifically looking for something that fits the Model Y’s dimensions perfectly—maybe something that can even utilize those deep side pockets or the sub-trunk area efficiently.

My daily haul usually includes a mix of loose gym gear, some reusable grocery bags, and occasionally my camera bag, so having adjustable dividers would be a huge plus. I’m willing to spend a bit more—maybe up to $100—if it means getting something high-quality that won’t lose its shape after a month of use. Durability is key for me because I tend to use my car for a lot of weekend road trips and outdoor activities.

Has anyone found a specific brand or model that feels like it was truly built for the Model Y? I’d love to know if you prefer a full-sized organizer that sits on the main floor or if you’ve found a better system using the sub-trunk. What is the most reliable, 'no-slip' trunk organizer you’ve used that actually keeps everything in place during spirited drives?

I went through this last year. honestly, I was sooo paranoid about my camera gear sliding around that I spent weeks looking for something that wouldn't budge during quick turns. I ended up getting the Drive Auto Products Car Trunk Organizer because it has these specific tie-down straps that hook into the Model Y's floor anchors. it basically stays glued in place, which is a huge relief for safety. I also grabbed the Basenor Tesla Model Y Rear Trunk Side Organizer Bins to fill those deep side pockets for my gym stuff and it's been a total game changer. it's such a relief not hearing things slam around anymore!!

Seconding the recommendation above regarding the sub-trunk strategy! Honestly, I went through three different setups before I realized that putting stuff *under* the floor is the only way to drive like a normal person without hearing a constant 'thud' from the back.

I actually did a bunch of market research on this cuz I was tired of wasting money, and here is what I found:
* Sub-trunk bins are way better for weight distribution and literally cannot slide.
* Floor organizers with 'Velcro' bottoms only work if the carpet pile is right; some high-end ones actually tore my liner.
* Cheap collapsible ones from big box stores are basically useless for the Model Y's torque.

I ended up with a setup that uses the side deep pockets for my gym shoes and a heavy-duty divider for the sub-trunk. It was a bit pricier but the durability is night and day compared to the $30 stuff. Plus, keeping the main floor clear just looks way cleaner imo!

Honestly, I'd suggest the Tesmanian Tesla Model Y Rear Trunk Organizer. It fits the sub-trunk EXACTLY, costs about $70, and technically prevents lateral movement better than floor-mounted options. VERY durable too!

sooo i totally get the frustration... i've been driving teslas for like five years and i've tried basically every organizer out there. honestly, that flat floor is a nightmare for groceries if you enjoy the instant torque lol.

over the years, i've learned that 'no-slip' only works if it has aggressive velcro on the bottom. in my experience, you should just stick with brands like Tesmanian or Spigen. you really cant go wrong with their stuff cuz they actually account for the specific carpet grip in the model y. another pro tip? ditch the main floor idea and get the bins made for the deep side trunk pockets. it literally keeps your fragile stuff from flying around without taking up your main cargo space.

TL;DR: stick to brands like Tesmanian or Spigen and look for heavy-duty velcro bottoms. prioritize those side-well bins and the sub-trunk for the best 'no-slip' experience during fast corners!! gl
