Any good aftermarket sunshades for Toyota bZ4X windshields?

Hey everyone! I just picked up my bZ4X and I'm already worried about the summer heat cooking the interior. That massive dashboard seems to soak up a ton of sun! I tried a generic 'one-size-fits-all' shade from a local shop, but it doesn't fit right around the bulky sensor housing behind the rearview mirror. I’m really looking for something that matches the specific dimensions of the bZ4X windshield perfectly and is easy to tuck away when I have passengers. Has anyone found a high-quality custom-fit shade that doesn't sag in the middle? I'd prefer a folding style over a roll-up if possible. Which brands are you guys using to keep your cabins cool?

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, custom-fit is the ONLY way to go because of that massive TSS (Toyota Safety Sense) sensor housing. In my experience, if you get a cheap one, it puts pressure on the mirror assembly, which I really dont like from a long-term reliability standpoint.

I've tried many over the years, and basically, the WeatherTech Custom Fit SunShade for Toyota bZ4X is a solid bet, but since you want a folding style, check out the Covercraft Custom UVS100 Sunscreen for 2023-2024 Toyota bZ4X. It's actually a rigid foam core, so it wont sag at all even if it gets SUPER hot. Just be careful when folding it so you dont hit your screen.

TL;DR: Go for a rigid folding board like the Covercraft to protect the sensors and avoid that annoying middle sag. Good luck!

Yo, I feel u on that heat! I've been using a custom folding shade for two years now and I'm super happy with it. Honestly, generic ones just dont cut it with that huge sensor housing.

My current setup:
* Fits perfectly around the mirror
* Never sags, even in 100 degree heat
* Tucks away behind the seat real easy

It definately keeps the cabin cooler tho. Good luck!

I've tried a few and here's my take:
- WeatherTech SunShade Full Vehicle Kit for Toyota bZ4X is my top pick because it's super sturdy, though it's a bit pricier.
- AutoTech Zone Sunshade for 2023-2024 Toyota bZ4X is a solid budget alternative that fits the sensor cut-out perfectly for way less cash.

Just be careful when folding them so you dont accidentally whack the screen!

I honestly had high hopes for the custom folding ones but most of them are kind of a letdown for the price. I tried the HeatShield Custom Fit Sunshade for Toyota bZ4X and while it fits the glass perfectly, its a roll-up and basically impossible to stow quickly when you have a passenger. If you're dead set on folding, maybe look at the KUST Custom Fit Windshield Sun Shade for Toyota bZ4X which is cheaper but the stitching feels pretty flimsy to me. Honestly I've been considering just buying some reflective insulation and cutting my own to save the headache. Actually what really bugs me is the lack of a glovebox in this car. Like, where am I supposed to put the shade once I fold it? It just sits in the passenger footwell or that bridge console thing and slides around every time I hit a curve. I swear I spend more time chasing stuff around the floor than actually driving. But yeah, those are the main ones I've seen.
