I can warmly recommend Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 for Toyota Venza Hybrid. The features are user-friendly The ergonomic design allows for comfortable use.

My personal experience: I've tested various products, and Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 was superior in all tests. The quality remains excellent even after months of use, which is important for long-term reliability. Very good future-proofing through modern design and reliable performance.

Do you already have a preference? That could influence the choice.

Interesting question! For Toyota Venza Hybrid it also depends on your driving style. What's your main concern?

I'm a bit late here but wanted to drop a couple suggestions. If you're worried about the hybrid electronics like the previous guy mentioned, I'd suggest looking at the Auto-Vox TW1 Wireless Backup Camera. It's basically a DIY dream because you don't have to tap into the car's main wiring harness at all, which saves you from potential sensor errors or warranty headaches. The image is surprisingly clear for a wireless setup. Now if you want a permanent mirror replacement, the Wolfbox G840S 12" 4K Mirror Dash Cam is probably the best for visibility. It gives you a way better field of view than the stock mirror. But word of caution... make sure to use a hardwire kit with a low-voltage cutoff. These hybrids have smaller 12v batteries and you really dont want to drain it overnight. Ngl the Wolfbox is nicer to look at but the Auto-Vox is the safer bet for the car's electrical health.

Honestly, after looking into this for my own Venza a while back, I ended up being really cautious about the whole thing. The electronics in these hybrids are kinda touchy, so you might want to consider if a wireless setup is safer than tapping into the factory wiring. IIRC, some folks on a different forum mentioned that messing with the reverse light trigger can sometimes cause weird sensor errors on the dash. Not sure but I think you should keep these in mind:

  • Double check the field of view so you dont get that annoying fish-eye distortion
  • Make sure any kit you buy has a weather-rated seal for the external lens
  • Be careful about the power draw if youre planning to leave it on for parking mode I am still a bit uncertain if the newer trims have the same harness as the older ones, so maybe check with a local shop before you start pulling panels apart... just want to make sure you dont accidentally void any warranties while trying to get a better view back there!
