I’m loving my new ID.4, but I’m worried about scuffing up the carpet with groceries and my dog’s muddy paws. I’ve seen the heavy-duty MuddyBuddy mats and some WeatherTech options, but I want something that fits perfectly with the adjustable floor. Does anyone have a favorite that stays in place and is easy to hose off? What are you all using?

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before committing to those big brands mentioned earlier.

- **Warning:** Hard plastic liners like the ones from major manufacturers can be *super* slippery for dogs. My pup was sliding all over, which is basically a safety hazard if you hit the brakes!
- **Market Research:** Check out TuxMat or 3D MAXpider. They offer a much more premium, carpet-like grip that's still 100% waterproof and easy to hose off.
- **Fitment:** Honestly, these tend to integrate way better with the adjustable floor heights without that awkward gap.

I mean, I love a clean car, but keeping the dog stable is even more important!! gl!

Sooo when I first got my ID.4, I was literally obsessed with keeping the trunk clean too. For your situation, I would suggest the Volkswagen ID.4 MuddyBuddy Trunk Liner with Extended Seat Back Cover. Honestly, it's the best for the adjustable floor cuz it actually stays in place when you move things around. I tried a generic one first and it was a total mess, but the MuddyBuddy fits like a glove. Plus, it's super easy to hose off after a muddy hike with the dog! Definitely worth it if you wanna keep that carpet looking new... gl! 👍

Honestly, I get the stress about the muddy paws and groceries sliding around. Safety first, right? You don't want stuff flying forward if you have to slam on the brakes. For your situation, I would suggest checking out the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Volkswagen ID.4 with Adjustable Floor. It's super rugged and basically laser-measured, so it won't slide an inch even if your dog is jumping around back there.

Another solid option is the Lloyd Mats Northridge All-Weather Cargo Mat. It's got these cool channels that trap water and mud better than the flat ones, IMO. A few things to keep in mind:

* Make sure you specify if you have the "S" trim or the Pro/Pro S since the floor levels vary!
* The Volkswagen ID.4 Cargo Blocks are actually great to use on top of a liner to keep groceries from tipping over.

I've used WeatherTech for years and they're basically indestructible. Easy to hose off too! Does your dog usually stay in a crate or just roam the trunk area? Good luck with the new ride!! 👍
