What are the best interior accessories for the XC60 plug-in hybrid? sorry if this is a dumb question but I just got my first Volvo and Im totally lost.

I really need something to protect the floors from my muddy hiking boots and maybe a good phone holder? I only have about $150 to spend right now...

Saw your post earlier and wanted to chime in because I actually went the cheap route first and totally regretted it. Honestly, those universal mats you find at big box stores are a nightmare for the XC60. The floor layout is weird and they just slide around everywhere, which is super annoying when youre trying to drive. Heres what I tried before I finally gave up:

  • Generic rubber mats: These were a joke. They didnt cover the edges and my muddy boots still ruined the side carpeting. Basically useless for a Volvo if you actually go outside.
  • WeatherTech FloorLiner for Volvo XC60 2018-2024: I ended up getting these because I was tired of the mess. Theyre super durable but ngl, they feel kinda like hard plastic under your feet. They protect everything, but they can be a bit slippery when your shoes are wet which I didnt expect for the price.
  • Lisen Magnetic Phone Mount with Hook Clip: I tried this for my phone but the XC60 vertical vents are a real pain. It kinda sags and I worry about the plastic slats snapping because they arent really built for heavy mounts. Its kinda frustrating because you spend all this money on a nice car and then the accessories feel subpar. If you only have $150, you might have to pick one or the other right now. I wouldnt touch the cheap generic stuff tho, just ends up being money down the drain... maybe look for some used OEM ones on eBay if you can find them.

Just saw this. Tbh you gotta be careful with cheap phone mounts because they can slide around and distract you, I learned that the hard way... kinda scary. To keep it under budget, I would suggest:

If you are hiking a lot, you really need to be careful with those factory carpets because Volvo interior trim is crazy expensive to replace if it gets ruined. I would suggest looking at TuxMat Volvo XC60 Custom Floor Mats before anything else. Honestly, they cover way more of the side walls than other brands, which is huge for keeping mud off the actual floor. If you want something easier to spray down, the WeatherTech FloorLiner for Volvo XC60 is a solid alternative, tho they can feel a bit plasticky and slippery under your boots. Budget is tight at $150 so you might want to consider just the front mats first. For the phone, make sure to check out the ProClip Volvo XC60 Center Mount. Its way more secure than cheap vent clips that might break your dash slats. Just dont skimp on the floor protection or you'll regret it when the mud settles in.
