I just picked up a B9 Audi S5 and while I love the stock look, I’m ready to give it a bit more personality. I’m looking for high-quality exterior mods that enhance the car's lines without looking too 'tacked on.' I’ve been considering a honeycomb RS-style grille and maybe some carbon fiber mirror caps, but I’m curious what else actually looks good in person. I’m trying to keep the overall look clean and OEM+, rather than going full track-build. Does anyone have recommendations for a subtle front lip or a specific rear diffuser that fits perfectly? Also, if you’ve found any must-have accessories like blacked-out badges or spacers that really change the stance, let me know!
Quick question - before I give advice, are you rocking the chrome trim or do you have the black optic package? Honestly, I've had issues with mixing and matching finishes before and it just looks messy, so that kinda changes my recommendations for the budget stuff. Tbh, I'm a beginner with this B9 stuff too, but I've already had a bad experience with a cheap grille that fit like garbage... super disappointing lol. If you're looking for value though, maybe check out the EMD Auto Pure RS Style Mesh Grille? It's usually cheaper than the high-end ones but looks decent if you're careful with the install.
Respectfully, I'd consider another option before jumping into spacers or springs. Honestly, I'd skip the APR Wheel Spacers 10mm because changing your track width without a professional alignment can seriously mess with your suspension geometry and safety! Plus, some of those cheap RS grilles use brittle plastic that literally shatters on the highway... basically a total safety hazard. If you want that OEM+ look without compromising reliability, I'd highkey suggest getting the Audi Genuine Accessories Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps or the Audi Genuine Black Rings and Badges instead. They fit *perfectly* every time and you wont have to worry about them flying off at 80mph like some of the aftermarket stuff lol!! Stick to factory-spec mods if you really care about keeping that S5 safe and reliable!! peace
yo, honestly the B9 S5 looks sooo good with just a few tweaks! for that OEM+ vibe, i highkey recommend going with basically anything from ECS Tuning or Maxton Design, you literally cant go wrong there.
So I've had my S5 for a few years now and honestly, one thing I learned the hard way is that keeping the car looking good long-term is way harder than just slapping parts on it. If ur looking for that clean look that actually lasts, here are a few things I did that I dont regret: - XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film: I know it's not a flashy mod, but after 3 years of highway driving, my front end still looks brand new. Without it, the rock chips basically ruin the clean look ur going for. It's reallyyy worth it for the long run.
- Ceramic Pro Coating: This makes the paint look sooo deep and shiny. Washing the car is basically ten times easier too, which is great if ur worried about micro-scratches from scrubbing too hard. - AWE Tuning SwitchPath Exhaust: If u get the version with the 102mm black tips, it fills out the rear area perfectly without looking like a crazy track build. It looks way more aggressive than the stock tips but still stays classy.
- 3M Crystalline Window Film: I was nervous about going too dark, but a good ceramic tint really finishes the exterior lines and protects the leather inside from fading. I'm still kinda a beginner with the heavy stuff, but I think focusing on protection first is super important! Does anyone else worry about the paint getting ruined or is it just me?

I went through this last year with my B9. Honestly, I spent forever looking for that perfect OEM+ balance cuz I didn't want it looking tacky, you know? I eventually settled on the 034Motorsport Dynamic+ Lowering Springs and some APR Wheel Spacers 10mm to flush out the stance. It totally changed how the car sits without ruining the ride quality. I also grabbed a Turner Motorsport High-Kick Carbon Fiber Lip Spoiler which lowkey makes the rear look way more aggressive but still clean, right? It's been a fun journey seeing it all come together!
