Ive flipped enough B8s to know the oil consumption and timing chain issues but local prices in Seattle are insane. Everyone wants 18k for 120k miles and its driving me crazy.
Where are people finding clean ones that arent totally overpriced...
Seattle prices are absolutely nuts right now!! You gotta look outside the city limits like Tacoma or Everett to find the real deals. I love the Audi A4 B8.5 2.0T Quattro because those 2013+ facelift models finally fixed the oil consumption mess!!
Building on the earlier suggestion, looking in smaller towns is definitely the way to go. Im honestly so happy I found my Audi A4 B8.5 2.0T Quattro outside the city for a fair price. It works well and feels super reliable. I always bring my Ross-Tech VCDS HEX-V2 Enthusiast Interface to scan for safety issues before I buy. No complaints here, dont skip the scan tho!
Seattle prices are insane, honestly... you might wanna look for a Audi A4 B8.5 2.0T Quattro but be careful with the turbo wastegate rattle, that fix gets expensive fast. I would suggest checking the PCV valve and motor mounts too. @Reply #1 - good point about Tacoma, prices are way lower there if you find a private seller who actually maintained it. Dont hesitate to ask if you find a listing!
