Which level 2 home charger is best for Audi e-tron GT?

I just took delivery of my Audi e-tron GT, and while I’m absolutely loving the performance, the included mobile charger isn't really cutting it for my daily needs. I'm looking to install a dedicated Level 2 wallbox in my garage to make sure I’m waking up to a full charge every morning. Since the e-tron GT has an 11kW onboard charger (and I know some have the optional 22kW), I want to make sure I’m getting something that can actually take advantage of those speeds without overheating or being overkill.

I’ve been looking at the ChargePoint Home Flex and the Wallbox Pulsar Plus, but I’m a bit torn. I’d love something with a solid app to track energy costs and scheduling, especially since my utility company offers off-peak rates. My budget is around $600-$800 for the unit itself, excluding the electrician's install. For those of you already driving an e-tron GT, which charger have you found to be the most reliable? Also, did you go with a hardwired setup for the higher amperage, or just a NEMA 14-50 plug-in? Any specific recommendations that play nice with the Audi MMI app would be a huge help!

TL;DR: Definitely hardwire for 11kW.

Warning: Skip the NEMA 14-50 plug-in! Cheap outlets can literally melt under sustained high-amp loads, making them a fire hazard for daily EV use.

Honestly, I’ve been sooo happy with my ChargePoint Home Flex. I hardwired it to a 60A breaker to get the full 48A (11.5kW) output. The app is technical enough to track every cent of my utility bill, right? It’s rock solid, basically no complaints at all! lol 👍

Yo, congrats on the e-tron GT!! Seriously such a sick car. From a technical standpoint, you're spot on about needing to maximize that 11kW onboard charger. Basically, to get those speeds safely, you really gotta go with a hardwired setup on a 60A breaker. I've spent way too much time looking at market data for these things, and honestly, the brand choice usually comes down to the app experience since the hardware is mostly similar internally.

I'm not 100% sure about the current Audi MMI integration—I've heard it can be kinda glitchy—so having a charger with its own solid scheduling is a lifesaver for those off-peak rates. I think some people have had good luck with the units from Tesla (using an adapter) or the smart chargers from Enel X, but you really can't go wrong with the major brands as long as they're UL-listed. Just make sure your electrician uses high-quality wire because these high-performance EVs really stress the thermal limits of cheap materials... anyway, gl with the setup!

For your situation, I'd say the Wallbox Pulsar Plus 48 Amp Level 2 EV Charger is basically the best bang for your buck. I've tried many over the years and it hits that $600ish sweet spot perfectly. Definitely hardwire it on a 60A breaker if you want those 11kW speeds—it's worth the extra electrician cost for the peace of mind tbh. The app is super solid for tracking off-peak rates, right? Plus, it's sooo much smaller than the ChargePoint unit if garage space is tight. gl!

Honestly, for your situation, I'd say just go with Wallbox. Over the years, I've tried many different setups, and their stuff just seems to handle high sustained loads without breaking a sweat.

* Definitely hardwire it!! It's wayyy safer for those 11kW speeds.
* The app is actually pretty solid for tracking those off-peak rates.

Basically, getting any of their units will probably be your best bet for the e-tron GT. Good luck!
