Hey everyone! I just recently picked up a pre-owned G20 3 Series, and while the car is absolutely incredible to drive, I’m starting to realize I might need a few extras to really round out the experience. I want to keep the interior looking pristine and maybe add a few quality-of-life upgrades, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff available online.

I’ve already been looking into things like high-quality all-weather floor mats (since the OEM carpet ones seem like magnets for dirt) and maybe a sleek phone mount that doesn't ruin the clean look of the dash. I’m also curious if anyone has found a must-have trunk organizer that fits the 3 Series dimensions perfectly, as my groceries currently slide around every time I take a corner. I’m not really looking for heavy performance mods yet—just those essential 'daily driver' accessories that make ownership easier. Whether it’s tech gadgets, protection, or storage solutions, what are the items you guys literally cannot live without?

What are your top 3 'must-buy' accessories for a new 3 Series owner to keep the car functional and looking sharp?

Ok so I totally get the struggle... those OEM carpets are basically sponges for dirt. In my experience, you gotta grab some BMW G20 All-Weather Floor Mats first thing. They fit perfect and actually look pretty sleek tbh. For the phone, I've tried many and honestly Rennline ExactFit Magnetic Phone Mount for BMW G20 is the only one that doesnt ruin the dash vibe. Also, a Drive Auto Trunk Organizer is seriously a lifesaver for groceries. Good luck!!

So i've been driving BMWs for a minute now and honestly, you gotta think about protection first cuz the gloss black trim in the G20 scratches if you even look at it wrong lol. Since someone already mentioned mats, I'd definitely look into a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for BMW iDrive 7.0 10.25-inch. It cuts down on fingerprints and keeps that screen looking brand new.

For the trunk situation, I actually prefer the BMW Genuine Fitted Luggage Compartment Mat over a generic organizer because it has a high-grip surface that stops stuff from sliding around in the first place.

Last thing—and this is a bit technical—but get a OBDLink CX BimmerCode Bluetooth 5.1 BLE OBD2 Adapter. You can use the BimmerCode app to turn off the annoying legal disclaimers and customize your lighting. It's basically a must-have if you wanna truly own the car's tech. Just be careful with the settings! gl with the new ride!!

Seconding the recommendation above for the screen protector—the iDrive screen is a literal fingerprint magnet. If youre looking to save some cash, check out the VRS Design Damda Clip Series door handle storage trays. They basically turn the dead space in the door pulls into actual pockets for cheap. Also, skip the pricey trunk organizers and just grab a BMW G20 Luggage Compartment Net. It's super effective for groceries.

TL;DR: Door handle pockets and a cargo net are the best budget-friendly utility wins.

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!

Congrats on the G20! If you wanna get technical about the interior upkeep and tech, there are some market-leading options that really change the daily drive. Most owners focus on the visible stuff, but the real quality of life upgrades are usually hidden.

  • Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+
  • You gotta pair this with the BimmerCode app. Compared to the cheaper generic scanners, this one is super stable for the G20's electronics. It lets you turn off the annoying legal disclaimers and auto-start/stop which basically saves your starter motor long-term.
  • FitcamX Dash Cam for BMW 3 Series
  • This replaces the plastic housing behind your rearview mirror. I looked at brands like BlackVue or Garmin, but they look like messy add-ons. FitcamX looks 100 percent factory and taps into the rain sensor power so you dont have wires dangling everywhere.
  • Salusy Center Console Organizer Tray
  • For some reason, BMW left a huge cavern in the armrest. Aftermarket brands like Salusy are basically the gold standard here. Having that top tier tray stops you from digging through a pile of stuff just to find your gate clicker or sunglasses. These are sorta the pro-tier essentials if you care about the tech side of things. Tbh coding the car makes it feel way more high-end than it comes from the factory.
