Hey everyone! I finally took delivery of my G80 M3 Competition recently, and while it’s an incredible machine straight from the factory, I’m already getting that itch to start personalizing it. The power is definitely there, but I feel like the car could use a bit more 'soul' and a slightly more aggressive stance. I’m looking for mods that enhance the actual driving feel rather than just pure aesthetics.
I’ve been browsing some options and I'm a bit overwhelmed. Right now, I'm considering a KW HAS (Height Adjustable Spring) kit to fix that front wheel gap without ruining the adaptive suspension, and maybe some 12mm/15mm spacers to flush the wheels out. I’m also a bit underwhelmed by the stock exhaust note; it feels a little too muted in the cabin. I’ve heard a midpipe upgrade can really wake it up without being obnoxious, but I’m also looking at the Eventuri carbon intake for that extra induction noise.
I want to keep it reliable as it’s my daily driver, so I’m trying to avoid anything that might throw a CEL. For those of you who have already started modding your M3 Comp, which performance accessories or parts provided the most noticeable 'bang for your buck' in terms of sharpening the handling and improving the sound?
In my experience, honestly skip the expensive Eventuri and grab a Burger Motorsports G80 M3 Billet Intake instead... basically same induction noise for way less money. Lowkey the best value mod!
Ok so, I've tried a few setups and here's how they compare for the money: * Midpipe vs Intake: Active Autowerke G80 M3 Single Midpipe gives way more "soul" than an intake with NO CEL.
* KW HAS Height Adjustable Spring Kit (~$1,100): Better than standard springs cuz it keeps EDC functional.
* Macht Schnell Competition Wheel Spacer Kit (15/12mm): Best way to fix the stance. Highkey, start with the midpipe for the best bang for buck! gl!
Ok so, congrats on the pickup! For the G80, I'd highkey suggest looking into: • **Monoballs** from a brand like **Fall-Line**. They replace the front tension strut bushings and sharpen the steering *significantly*.
• For sound, just get a **rear section** from **Remus** or **Eisenmann**. It adds that depth you're looking for without the drone. Since its ur daily, these wont mess with the CEL or ruin the ride quality. Good luck!
