I just picked up my Blackwing last week here in Chicago and honestly im kind of stressed out. I spent basically my whole savings on this thing and now I realized it looks way more boring than the ones I see online. Like it just looks like a regular sedan? I have maybe 3 thousand bucks left to spend but I have no clue what to actually buy first. I see people talking about aero kits and splitters but I dont even know what those are or if they actually help with anything. Is it just for looks or what. I really dont want to mess up the car or waste money. What are the actually essential exterior upgrades I need to get so it doesnt look so plain?

In my experience, looking like a regular sedan usually comes down to the stance and the fishbowl windows. I remember my first big purchase felt underwhelming too until I fixed the silhouette. Since you're in Chicago, you gotta be careful with those front splitters because the snow and potholes will eat them alive if you arent careful. I'd honestly start with a serious tint job using XPEL Prime XR Plus Window Tint to get that sleek look. It hides the interior and makes the lines of the car pop. Then, get rid of those ugly orange reflectors. I put Diode Dynamics Smoked Side Marker LEDs on mine and it's a night and day difference for such a cheap part. If you still have budget, throwing on some Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs CT5-V Blackwing will close that wheel gap and make it look way more exotic. It's about making the car look intentional, ya know?

Before recommending aero, did you get the forged wheels or the standard cast ones? It changes the unsprung weight and the profile quite a bit. For Chicago, you should definitely prioritize protection first.

Congrats on the beast! Quick question tho—did yours come with the factory Carbon Fiber 1 or 2 packages already? That changes everything for your budget. If its totally bare, you gotta snag the Savage Cadillac Carbon Fiber Front Splitter and EOS CT5-V Blackwing Side Skirts Carbon Fiber. It makes the stance look amazing and way more aggressive! Those aero parts really kill that plain sedan vibe.

To add to the point above: looks like everyone covered the big stuff like the splitters and rock guards already. Definitely listen to them about the guards tho, because Chicago salt is brutal. If you still think it looks plain, you might want to consider the smaller trim details that really change the personality. I would suggest checking out the General Motors CT5-V Blackwing Gloss Black Emblem Kit to get rid of the bright chrome. It makes the front end look way meaner. Also, be careful with the carbon stuff... its expensive to replace if you clip a garage pillar or something. I'd maybe just do the Savage Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps for now. They're up high where they wont get scratched but they add that premium look you're missing. Market-wise, the OEM black emblems are usually better quality than the cheap vinyl stickers people buy. Don't feel like you gotta do it all today, just enjoy the drive for a bit!
